I'll echo your sentiments about Paul Chatem. That ship piece is INSANE. I don't even want to look at the price tag, because I don't want to get tempted by anything else this summer.

The prices on the Chatem pieces are extremely reasonable. I bought a piece from his last show at Shooting Gallery. They are even better in person.

I keep going back and browsing this show. Really incredible body of work from Chatem. Loved his work for a few years now, a major talent. Collect his work while you can. Rusty & Ruined and Your Time is Running Out are my favorites. www.shootinggallerysf.com/gallery.php?artist_id=current#

I took a whole mess of photos of the show, and even made a little video showing how the Paul Chatem pieces work. Here is the photos: www.creepmachine.com/events/photos-paul-chatem-mike-maxwell-shooting-gallery.htmlAnd the video, short but gives an idea of how the paintings work: Someone also made a video of the paintings, way better than mine. I'm sure they had a real video camera too. Need to save up and get one of those.
