Don't forget to check out tomorrow night's opening at Thinkspace, Uncommon Gardens. Kelly Vivanco, Caia Koopman, Lilly Piri and Catherine Brooks will be sharing the spotlight, and I understand that a few of them will be in attendance. In the project room, Kris Chau has one wall for her anatomical/botanical/edible girls, and street artists Miso, Acorn and Ghostpatrol have taken over the far wall for a collection of drawings called Ink Advance. Hope to see some of you there! www.sourharvest.com/thinkspace/Kelly spent last weekend preparing an terrific installation for the gallery entrance. Just got back from Thinkspace... It was a great show, and Kelly sold all but a couple of her paintings. I loved the drawings from the "Ink Advance" street artists, too. There were a couple very cool little pieces from Ghostpatrol and Acorn. I picked up this drawing by Acorn, titled Waterb01, in addition to the two Vivancos I've crowed about in other threads. Once again, it's not a very good picture. There's more from Acorn aka Scott Kennedy here: flickr.com/photos/acornsgrow/oakyoh.blogspot.com/

This was the Ghostpatrol piece I liked best. There were a few others that were really interesting, too, but this fully colored one really stood out.

OK, so I dropped by Thinkspace again this afternoon to buy another Acorn drawing (I guess I'm hooked) and Joe Sorren was there with his friend and fellow artist Lyle Motley ( www.lylemotley.com/ ). Which was very cool. Sorren seemed to like Lilly Piri's work a lot, from what I could overhear. Here's the new Acorn I picked up, "Breadmaker."
