i really enjoyed this show and glad i made the trip up to the toon to see it. some great new uk artists that i think a lot of people here may enjoy, particularly Teresa Duck, Karl de Vroomen, Charlotte Bracegirdle and Lex Thomas. this is taken from the opus website... Building on the success of our original Fresh Cream show, Opus Art proudly presents Fresh Cream 2, a spectacular exhibition picking up where September's Fresh Cream exhibition left off. As well as showcasing unique new works from some of the best new emerging artists, Fresh Cream 2 also provides a rare opportunity to catch up with the favourites from the last show, whose newest works will be on show at Opus Art for the first time. With the recession finally ending, and spring tentatively emerging from the coldest winter in decades, what better way to celebrate than by showing your support for a fresh crop of young contemporary artists, guaranteed to cause a stir! Featuring affordable painting, print, photography, mixed media installation and sculpture by the art stars of the future - affordable today, priceless tomorrow? Brand new Opus Art artists featured in Fresh Cream 2 include Charlotte Bracegirdle and New York based Young Masters Art Prize-winning duo, Ghost of a Dream, alongside Alexandra McLain, Hush, Lex Thomas and Hector de Gregorio, whose reputations are already growing and whose newest works, fresh from their success at SCOPE - the world’s leading international contemporary art fair’s flagship New York venue - are on show, as well as never-before seen works by Karl de Vroomen and Teresa Duck. Fresh Cream 2 will open to the public at Opus Art, Newcastle from Friday 16 April, with an exclusive Private View on Thursday 15 April, from 6pm. Please RSVP to enquiries@opus-art.com, or call 0191 213 0295.
