I really dig tis guy's style. Reminds me a lot of Sam Keith, but a little different, more atmosphere and emotion.
Unfortunately, I can't find his stuff online. Last thing I saw of his was at project gallery some time ago and some stuff he was working on where he lived with Tessar.

Sick, I saw this piece when he was working at it but never got a close look at all of the details, as I felt it may have been rude to do so.
Great interpretation of his work on your blog by the way, especially where he talks about doing a storybook. I really wish he'd do one, even if it was just a really simple story, like some kind of entity just trying to get from metaphorical point a to metaphorical point b.
In a sense there's a lot of narrative already happening in the image.

scott's doing some really great things with his work lately. we have been discussing a lot about direction and i am finding that he has a lot he wants to say and is only now really about to flourish. i know how exciting it can be to come upon a new direction that works on a personal level and also strike your viewers' fancy. i am definitely excited and blessed to see his stuff on a daily basis and believe me, between the kind of execution he's been showing and the ideas that he has, people will really start to catch onto this guy's work.

splendid. he keeps the same horizon depth and elements/characters but plays with the horizon colours, as of recent. which he is really good at. dusk, dawn, twilight.

Two great pieces Scott finished recently. His technique is intensely detailed, and a lot of his fine brushwork is invisible on a computer screen. I believe these may still be available at project:gallery. "Myself vs. Myself" "It Ends the Way It Begins"

"Somewhere in the Forest, Somewhere in the Thicket," for the m-modern "Crimes on Canvas" show on July 18th and 19th at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino. Isn't it gorgeous? So gorgeous that I couldnt stop myself from picking it up! I find that Scott's work is definitely such a steal now. He's a good example of a promising artist that needs more exposure to the public. Btw, thanks for the analysis and links commandax, it kinda inspired me to pick up his work over the others that were available in the show. ;D

That's so great! I think Scott is just starting to take off, mostly due to the excellence of his recent forest work. All of the new pieces he did for the "Insider Trading" show at project:gallery have sold, and at the moment, I think his piece in the Hi-Fructose show might still be available, but that's about it. He really invests a lot of thought and emotion and painstaking attention to detail in all of his work, and he's also a really sweet guy. I'm glad I could help you make your decision to pick up that beautiful painting. ;D

Great interview Commandax.
Scott just brought a few of his finished painting to the gallery yesterday, and I am fairly confident they will not be around by the time the show is over...

This one is a real change of pace for Scott... he's exploring the same landscape, but in a completely different headspace. Rather than a sense of forlorn searching, this one has a lighthearted, springlike birth-of-the-world feeling. The detail is impeccable – you really must see it in person to even begin to appreciate it.

wow, that piece looks pretty fine. looks like a bit of a change from his landscape based work. i had this show marked in my diary, but it looks as i'm on babysitting duty the night of the opening. will have to check it out when i get chance though.
