Sleepboy,
Very nice pick up on the Haslam piece! I'm really enjoying her work. Thanks for introducing her to us. I'm actually flying into LA to attend a few shows this weekend. Are you going to Crazy for Cult or the ISM show?
Cheers, T

Looks like she's working on a paper cranes painting... Reminds me a lot on a Nate Frizell painting...

Yeah. Birds in hair is definitely a common image visited by many artists. In my collection alone... Fumi Nakamura Amy Sol Nicoletta Ceccoil I think Audrey maybe as well and definitely Camilla d'Errico just off the top of my head (no pun intended)

artists have been messing with women's hair for a long time, . . . I've some pieces in the works that are kind of like that too, . . . of course mine won't look like that, but my point is, . . .it's been done before Nate Frizell. my friend Matthew Pasquarello was doing that a few years ago

this is a funny thread... haha. ;D i went to project yesterday and took a look at the haslam pieces that are a little larger... they are gorgeous. the attention to detail in the environments are something i know will definitely woo some people. but speaking of birds in hair... this one's my favourite in the last little bit... it's natural and well composed.: martha chan!! canada represent.

So enough with the birds in the hair... Melissa's first series of paintings that actually made it to a gallery are finally in for the Inaugural show at Cerasoli : LeBasse. Some great pieces along with the other artists for this weekends show.
