Loved that story! I also fantasize about finding some art treasure when going to flea markets here or having the chance of looking into some old attic... of course I looked immediately under my sofa, but no Leo, Mike or Tize. I could do some cleaning though.

I always love reading these stories. It's like a fairy tale, but true. I often wonder how many american masters works are out there collecting dust in a barn. I'm sure there are a number of Pollock, Rockwell, Basquiat, and Lichtenstein pieces out there. Now comes the task of proving to the establishment that the painting is legit. edit-thanks for the link

so this would be number 4 in the number of easel paintings done by Michaelangelo, the other being his one of schongaouers saint anthony tormented by demons, which he did when he was just 13, that was authenticated and now hangs in the kimbell art museum in texas.
though im kinda doubting this is a real mike.
