We just posted a nice interview with Timothy Karpinski who will be showing in our project room during "The Drawing Room" - we love his work and he's one of Audrey's favorites too. Find out why here: sourharvestblog.blogspot.com/2008/10/karpinski-flickr-sneak-peek-set-loaded.htmlALSO... in the coming days on our blog, we'll be posting details on the two limited edition prints that will be for sale the night of the opening (and only at the opening) as well as some add'l sneak peek shots of works from the show. LOVE karpinski's work. i just hung the massive 5 1/2 ft piece i have of his (from thinkspace, of course ) this week. its been in its $600 crate since i bought it earlier this year!! chop my head off and i could have got buried in that thing.. man, 2 prints released at the show.... sometimes the uk seems a LONNNG way from la! i'm sure this show will be massive.

just thought i'd post a couple of detailed shots of a tim karpinski piece i bought for my wife earlier this year. the layering of the paper and the stiching is amazing. i had only bought this from seeing online photographs, but his work must be seen in person to truly appreciate it.

That piece is beautiful Svenman... Timothy is bringing all sorts of work down from Portland for this show. Can't wait!
Just posted some new sneak peeks from Travis Louie, Brandi Milne, Catherine Brooks and Audrey as well on our blog. More soon.
Print details will be all confirmed and hopefully announced tomorrow.
All have really delivered for this one, some real surprises for sure.

wow. the piece with the 5 hands is stunning.
personally, i prefer this style of her work over the recent dark background pieces (prepares for bashing!)

For those of you on the waiting list for 'The Drawing Room' please know we are having some issues with the preview images loading larger once clicked, so we'll get that fixed 1st thing in the AM and then spread to all around noon PST on Thursday. Sorry for the delay, but trust me, it'll be well worth it.
If some prints are still on hand after end of opening weekend, we'll see what may be possible for those out of state...

Please consider selling a few left spare prints over the phone. I am desperate for URIA - but cannot get to the show (or Greg's for that matter), due to having a few work clients with us for 3 days....I hate it when work comes before art. My partner and I are the owners, but he will not even let me sneak away!

i'm sure lots of you locals will be going along to the opening, and i'm sure you'll be buying prints. but if anyone is going with their significant other or something like that and they wouldn't mind muling both these prints for me, i'd be forever in your debt!! ;D
ALL expenses covered in advance, plus a few drinks on me! drop me a pm if ya can...

Ladies and gentlemen... 'The Drawing Room' links are now ready and live... we've over 200 collectors on the waiting list for this show, so please be patient, and we will try to get back to everyone. Please note Audrey spent a lot of time and love putting this lineup together and we want to be sure all also take the time to look over her curation, as you can be sure many gallery owners will be and it's a sure thing you'll be seeing much more from many of the newer names included in the exhibit. Digital preview for 'The Drawing Room' curated by Audrey Kawasaki: www.sourharvest.com/thinkspace/2008/drawingroom/w0rKs4u.phpThe links are also now live for our two shows taking place this month in our project room: 'The Place I Call Home' digital preview for Timothy Karpinski: www.sourharvest.com/thinkspace/2008/project/placehome/works.php'New works from Robert Pokorny' digital preview: www.sourharvest.com/thinkspace/2008/project/pokorny/works.phpWe will begin reaching out to all that have contacted us for this show around 5PM PST this afternoon and we will continue following up with all that have gotten back to us in regards to the preview links right up to the opening this Friday @ 6PM PST at which point all work on exhibit will be fair game. We will be reaching out to all in the order in which we were originally contacted by each. That means the day we were contacted originally by you requesting to be added to the list, best we can, we will work through things in that order. The speed in which one responds to this post or the e-mails just sent out has nothing to do with your place on the purchase list. Please shoot us over your wish lists with the names of the works you are interested in (please try to list a possible alternate or two, in order of desire). IF WE DO NOT HEAR FROM YOU, WITH SO MANY ON THE LIST, WE HAVE TO ASSUME YOU ARE NOT INTERESTED. Due to the nature of the economy and the holidays being just around the corner, please don’t hesitate to shoot us your requests from the preview thinking you may be too far down the list, as you never know how things will play out. We’ll do our best to get back to as many as we can once all start to get back to us. So please be sure to shoot us over your list with an alternate or two and we’ll do our best to get back to all that contact us with news of where things are at. Please be sure to include your full name and best phone number to contact you at during the day when responding. The highly influential BoingBoing.net just posted some love on the show too, check it here: www.boingboing.net/2008/11/06/audrey-kawasaki-cura.htmlAlso, please note our 2009 exhibition schedule is now posted on our site and wait lists are quickly developing for many of the shows. If you haven’t yet, please be sure to sign up for our mailing list on the homepage of our website at www.thinkspacegallery.com/ to receive regular updates on all our happenings. If you see a show listed in our ‘Upcoming Exhibitions’ section on our website, please reach out asap.

Yes, I love SILENT STORIES myself. After her darker monotones, never thought I would be passionate about her lighter pieces again. Pffft what do I know?!! Love that her girls are larger within the frame. Beautiful.
