I like gnomes vs. ants I could see some good stories with that. it also might depend on the topic, limerick's (especially the example you posted) are intimidating. I like the idea of a story/fairy tale to go with the piece, and the poem for the lori early piece was cool.
maybe just don't post such an intimidating example limerick, haha.

Wow, over 80 lookers but only 8 post? Seems very few are interested in contest these days. We were amazed on the Annabelle contest at Creep Machine with very few entries and most (95%) submissions showing almost no effort.
Thanks to those who took a second of their time to contribute.

i think the brandou hexagram and viselle gnomes vs ants would be easier to make a story

I'd say Amanda Visell: "Gnomes vs Ants"
Followed by Andrew Brandou: "Hexagam"

Yeh that was pretty disappointing, I was looking forward to having to read hundreds of poems instead of a handful. I think this contest would fit the Amanda Visell one the best, next being the Andrew Brandou.

I think the Sorren piece would be ideal....a beautiful, strong yet simple image, not a whole lot is forced on you in this painting...therefore, the directions in which you could take this story would pretty much be infinite! Plus...the painting is super!

I really think Ryden's "Sunday drive to hell" has a lot of potential for a short story. It's very narrative and has so many possibilities for sparking up a great story. Even the title speaks volumes to me.
