I have been preparing for the arrival of a lovely baby girl ( which should be anytime soon me and my wife should be traveling to get her ) finishing up purchasing our new home, and transferring from college into my masters program for special education. I still check the board at least once a day. Thank you so much however makes me feel like a active member of the board.
I am thinking I have taken on to much in life. LOL

So in love with my new Abarth. Totally badass, yet cute as a button at the same time.

That car looks like it would be fun to drive. T minus 51 days until new house and new member of family... Sadly I promised my wife I would not spread around personal effects on message boards but Heck we are all family here so I think this does not count.

So in love with my new Abarth. Totally badass, yet cute as a button at the same time. My wife is looking at the Mini-Cooper but I'll tell her about this one too. I wonder how it compares... The Abarth is maximized for driving experience rather than top speed, very quick out of the gate, but notable mainly for its nimble handling and gorgeous throaty exhaust note. Oh, and it also comes exclusively with a five-speed manual transmission... those Italians! My friend who has the Mini drove my Abarth last weekend and was favorably impressed. The Mini Cooper S JCW has a bit more power than the Abarth, but is also significantly more expensive. Here's what Car & Driver had to say comparing the two... they like the Mini. But at $8,000 more for the base model, you'd expect the Mini to deliver a little more. What the Abarth has that most modern cars lack is soul... and it just feels good. Of course, the base models of the Mini and the Fiat are also very retro, cute and fun, if you're not into attracting a lot of attention tearing down the highway. (I saw a Gucci convertible version of the Fiat at the dealership that was downright adorable.) Here are a few more pics from last Friday's mountain drive. Heading up there again tomorrow night for some more fun!

That's an incendiary post-- what's your beef with Sven? I don't see any reason otherwise for you to post something clearly intended to impugn his reputation with Artchival readers, since your Link is far from anything that would support the statement. It regards a dispute about a print exchange where the person who received Sven's print alleges there was damage caused by use of mounting adhesive. I don't know Sven outside the posts on this forum, but I read through the link out of curiosity and my takeaway was threefold: 1) Sven handled the dispute as any rational, well-meaning person would, 2) there is always a bit of risk in this kind of trade situation for secondary purchases that an issue like this could come up so the accusatory nature and public airing seemed a bit much from the start, especially given the background of Sven's efforts to try to resolve it and 3) the aggrieved party comes off as someone with nothing more than buyer's remorse but that's not Sven's problem-- she wants her print back and apparently no other remedy, and maybe Sven won't give it to her, which it is his right to do, and as a result the claims of damage, especially without pictures, seems likely to be overblown at best to me. Unless the exchange was done on the basis of some warranty by Sven as to condition, she's out of luck. And further even with a warranty the remedy isn't to unwind the deal but to pay for restoration or diminution in market value. My bet is that the marks are minor blemishes on the back at most and are being used to try to unwind the exchange because she doesn't like the swapped piece or thinks what she'd given in exchange was better. Whether anyone agrees with my takeaway or not, there's nothing here that warrants your incendiary post. Weezy

You also deleted all your previous posts here as well for some reason. Of course, I am biased but I have had nothing but good interactions with Sven and haven't ever heard otherwise from anyone. Read through the thread as well and seems like they are still working things through so what is the point of linking it over here, especially since it has not run it's natural course yet? It sounds like Sven is still waiting for some photos and there seems to be some miscommunications, so not sure how you came to your conclusions that seem so definite.

I wouldn't have commented but, just to add a little balance, I think the whole thing makes Sven sound like a prick.

Weezy I think we all agree you are a prick ( I don't know how to insert smiley face I know you know I am kidding friend ). I read the post and am a member of the banks forum but have not been on in a bit except to move one work, I not knowing the other party I have had encounters with Sven and have nothing but high praises to say about him, I also think it is sad for someone to come over here and air one side of dirty laundry. On a side note I BOUGHT A NEW COUCH

I thought new parents don't bother with new furniture until about age 12? Hope your new couch can double as jungle gym, fort, place mat, etc...

I wouldn't have commented but, just to add a little balance, I think the whole thing makes Sven sound like a prick. I don't know Sven, but it didn't come off that way to me. I'm surprised how many people backed sixpac based off of nothing but her extremely passive aggressive posts. Seems like something fishy's going on with her end.

And, we needed an automatic.

Thanks for all the posts. I did not expect to get any support on this forum based on Svenmans reputation here.
I fully expect to be banned from here because the moderators cannot believe that Sven would do such a thing, but you have to face up to the fact that he has.

On the contrary, the fact is the print is damaged and will cost $260.00 to restore, so what fiction is there? If Sven sorted it out privately then this conversation would not take place, would it?

Ive made every effort to discuss and resolve privately Leigh but you continue to thrust a private matter - with your own unique slant on events of course - into a public domain without reason other than to seemingly try and discredit me. If you troll me one more time I will ban you.
