With her Parasol balanced in plain sight, and fair skin that could summon an appetite, Her magnificence paled with that day though she sat in a well mannered way.

Contest CanceledI started this contest November 6th and only 7 entered. Thanks to the few that participated. More than likely this was our last contest here. Sorry Joe That's too bad but why does it matter whether 7 or 700 people enter the contest, the outcome would still be the same

If it was a postcard or some other free/inexpensive item 7 entries would be fine but it's a $500 limited edition.

It's not as if everyone was expecting to see something worthy of the Pulitzer Prize for Poetry or the Nobel Prize in Literature. Thanks anyway Virtu.

Sorry Joe I am sorry as well Joe and Virtu I havent been on this forum long but i felt it would be criminal of me to not take part in these very generous opportunities to gain much loved artworks for just a little effort ... Still.. thanks for the opportunity .

It was kind of the same way with the Lori Earley contest I had on the site, people entered but far less than was expected. I mean c'mon, it's an opportunity for something free for just a little bit of work. Especially considering how expensive some of these prints are.

It's probably because people feel self conscious about posting something like poetry. It can be difficult for some people to even post a strong opinion on a public forum, so when it comes to poetry i don't think you'll ever get many replies!
Shame it had to be canceled though, thanks for starting it in the first place!
