Thought it would be great with keeping this one going, so I hope it´s all right I open it. I took the freedom to copy the subjects from previous year. 1. Post pictures of your top 3 acquisitions this year.Martin Wittfooth Aron Wiesenfeld AJ Fosik 2. Best experiences?Went to Berlin with my gf to see the LAX / TXL show which Thinkspace curated. It´s not very often I get to see shows, so meeting Andrew and his wife and several of the artists were a great experience and the hospitality couldn´t have been more friendly. Thinkspace has to be up there among the friendliest galleries on earth. 3. Biggest disappointment?Missing out on a commission which an artist promised to do, waited 2 years for it. 4. Who are your rising stars?I honestly think Kevin Peterson should have a bright future ahead of him, his new body of work is just amazing. 5. Best show of the year?
Aron Wiesenfeld at Arcadia, mind-blowing pieces, each and every one of them. 6. Favorite Art Blog?Didn´t follow any on a regular basis, but Instagram has been quite the tool for me when browsing art this past year. 7. Best art book acquired. Martin Wittfooth - Babel 8. Biggest anticipation of 2015 (artist, show, etc.)Always looking forward to seeing what Martin Wittfooth is up to, know he has a big show coming up at the end of next year which should be magical.

Thanks for starting this up. Also like Kevin Peterson. Congrats on your purchases.
My house has been full so no new purchases but now that I am moving, maybe there will be more room on the walls for 2015.

Great list, origo. And that Wiesenfeld is an absolute stunner! Would have loved to be able to experience Arcadia in person.
And, yes, LAX/TXL was a pretty great show and the opening an extraordinary night.

Yes, congratulation for the Wittfooth and the Wiesenfeld, origo. Maybe I will post an end review at the very end of the year, as I have to sort out something.

Pity not to see the tradition continue. More posts please.
1. Post pictures of your top 3 acquisitions this year.
Jose Parla "Poster Syntax" original on wood.
Shepard Fairey "Monkey POD" canvas.
KAWS "Untitled" canvas.
2. Best experiences?
Rarely get the chance to see all the shows I would love to attend. Stand out one that I did manage to catch was Jeff Koons: A Retrospective @ Whitney Museum of American Art, New York, New York.
3. Biggest disappointment?
Not adding a large Conor Harrington canvas to my collection. I did manage to get this small original from my good friends and Jonathan LeVines.
4. Who are your rising stars?
Artists that are interesting me presently are Sam Freidman, Cian McLoughlin, Alfred Steiner, Spencer Sweeney & Erin M Riley.
5. Best show of the year?
José Parlá "IN MEDIAS RES" @ the Bryce Wolkowitz Gallery.
6. Favorite Art Blog?
Don't follow one at all. Only just discovered Instagram in the last 6 months and I am hooked.
7. Best art book acquired.
Faile Works on Wood Book.
8. Biggest anticipation of 2015 (artist, show, etc.)
Something wacky and equally unpredictable from Banksy.

1. Post pictures of your top 3 acquisitions this year. Just this one drawing by James Jean. A sketch for a mural he painted for POW! WOW! Hawaii 2. Best experiences?A toss up between just hanging out with artists and watching them create art during POW! WOW! Hawaii and the craziness that is Art Basel Miami. 3. Biggest disappointment? Not being to get out to as many shows as I would like in Los Angeles despite living only an hour away. 4. Who are your rising stars? Not that they haven't had success already but digging James Jean, DALeast, Dave Kinsey, Jacub Gagnon, Zaria Forman, Martin Wittfooth, Pryce Lee, Kelsey Brookes, Alex Lukas, Andrew Hem 5. Best show of the year?Going to cheat and name a few with a heavy bias on shows in LA and only those that I was able to see in person - Andrew Hem impressed me with his solo at MK, the Fuco Ueda show at Thinkspace, the amazing Nara show at Blum & Poe, KAWS show at Honor Fraser, Audrey Kawasaki show at Merry Karnowsky, and of course the long awaited Mark Ryden show in LA. 6. Favorite Art Blog?Hi Fructose, Juxtapoz, and of course Arrested Motion 7. Best art book acquired. Not a big collector of art books... 8. Biggest anticipation of 2015 (artist, show, etc.)Looking forward to seeing a solo from Jeff Soto and Masakatsu Sashie in Los Angeles at the new KP Projects (previous Merry Karnowsky now joined with James Panozza). Another Josh Keyes solo show wherever that may be. Baby Tattooville 2015 - the grand finale with a Mark Ryden & Marion Peck Surrealist Ball. And, hopefully hitting up POW! WOW! and Art Basel again.
