Levin draws upon his architecture background and has created two bodies of work which I really like: the convex diptych works and the mirror/grid pieces. He signed on with the Marianne Boesky gallery which should be a big help in giving him the time and room to develop his emerging art practice. I don't know why I'm always surprised (but I am) at how hard it is to buy a work from such a young artist. I suppose Boesky has more than enough buyers in their database ready to buy one of Dean's works.
I really love the steel mirrors.
