I put up some Murakami figures (currently 9 blind/unopened boxes) from the Japanese Convenience Store Edition, if anyone is interested. Thanks. iconart.ca/takashi.html

These are amazing little figures. I only need one more of the Melting DOB figures which is red and black. ![](http://i224.photobucket.com/albums/dd185/DevoursRed/IMG_0420.jpg)

I am selling about 5 or 6 other boxes locally, so what I'll do for you is ask the buyer to open their's and if they get your red Dob, I'll get them to swap it for another one and see if I can finish your collection for you. (keep your fingers crossed!) ...Cheers.

I'm sorry, I often assume that everyone who is interested in the work I carry has some knowledge of what it is I have. Here's a little run down for you.... (Take a deep breath) There are a few editions of the figures. The edition I have are figures from Japan commonly referred to as "shokugan" (kind of like toys with snacks) sold in the 7-11/convenience stores of Japan. People went nuts for these in Tokyo including myself, and they sold out fast. The second the clerk put them on the shelf, someone took the entire box. The key to them, as you know, is the quality and detail... There are a few other editions to watch out for. There is a "Los Angeles" version from 2004 (also Japanese) with mostly the same figures in different color schemes. There is also a "Rippongi Hills" edition too! It has different coloring AND, just to make things even worse, there is a "FIGURE-OH magazine" limited edition of Mr. DOB. Crazy huh? There are also a unique figure(s) to each edition... If you look at my blog < joepayne.blogspot.com > you will see on the back of the box a "silver flower ball" figure. It's the one in the centre, that's the hard one to find and generally will cost you about $48.00 to purchase. FYI, the Melting Mr. DOB's you have in the picture are titled (from left to right) "Shine," "Negative," "Devil." I'm 99% positive the one you are looking to complete is called "Positive." I've never seen the red and black in person so I'm not 100% on this one.- ( Anybody?) And of course, you can buy the original Mr. DOB sculpture, last time I looked it went for a tiny USD $ 3.4 million. Haha, makes my $ 22.00 boxes look good, huh? I hope that helps you!

These are great little figures, but the first one in my pic is actually 'Positive' from the Convenience Store Ed. The second is the rarer FIGURE OH edition, released in 2003 with the magazine. The third is the 'Devil' which was from the LA Edition. 'Shine' is from the Roppongi Hills Edition and one of the easiest to get, but the differences between this and 'Positive' are very small. The red and black is a 'Devil' variant colorway and the priority as I hardly see these come up! I will probably buy a couple more and simply customize them to match Murakami's DOB paintings. ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png)

Well I stand corrected all over the place... I also dumped a "Machikado-kun" figure up onto ebay. (link in the Ebay section of the board) .... devours, do you have any idea of the rarity of the red & black, devil DOB. All I seem to know about them is that it takes a lot to pry them out of people's collections! Any idea of how many pieces are out there?
