I'm thinking schedule it around a show we would all enjoy. Probably do the first one in LA since more people here it seems?
Any ideas?

i would be interested in this. I make the trip up to LA for all the big shows anyway, it would be cool to meet all of you. I would even meet up in SF or NYC if it coincided with big shows. (Audrey Kawasaki at JLG 12/12!) Maybe a meet up here in San Diego around Comic-con if there are any geeks coming in for that.

Comic-con is a great idea Sabotage! So much to see, it would be like an Art Disneyland. It's so big the group could break up to scout then report back on any finds.
The group could even do a pre arranged Scavenger Hunt with participating artist and vinyl vendors. A whole weekend of fun!!!

So, so far ideas that will probably have several people showing up at least include SDCC & Audrey Kawasaki show @ Levine. Any other ideas?

anyone planning to out to the josh keyes show at the end of may at dbs gallery in denver??? i'm planning on it. also, i'm around LA in a couple of weeks time (visiting from UK). i'm already meeting up with a couple of artchival folks, but if anyone is planning on going to the matthew feyld opening at thinkspace 13th march (or other things that weekend), it would be great to say hi to fellow artchivalists just look out for the best lookingest guy in the room, and i'll probably be somewhere near him!!

Sleep, would you be interested in doing a fortnightly chat session on Skype? I think a cool chat with Archival mates would be fun until we can actually arrange a kickass dinner....or we could all just play World of Warcraft together LOL.

a little more than 2 months until SDCC, but already plans are coming together and places are filling up. If anyone is serious about a dinner/get together we should start some early planning. I can take the lead on things since I live in SD, but I definitely need some input and suggestions from peeps. Mark Murphy sent an email update today. And of course, James Jean will be a special guest at Comic-Con this year, not to mention the endless other stuff yet to be announced, but who am I trying to convince?!

I think that it would be good to have it on the weekend as more people may be around? Not sure if I will make it this year but if I do it will be on the weekend.

Wouldn't it be best to do this get together at a Vegas strip club?

Been thinking about that too. For some reason the parking situation was particularly bad last year.
I'm definitely down for dinner.

Even better, take your bike on the train... then you don't have to worry about taxis.
