I am thinking there has to be a way to make a shopping cart that once something is in your cart it can not be snatched out, I was trying for the new Kaws release today ( 1000 percent ) had three people helping out on three seperate computers, and of course everyone gets one into the cart and input info click checkout and goodbye, message comes please remove sold out items from cart. this is the first I have gone after and did not know how bad it was, i was able to land the 400, and 100 percent but if anyone purchased a 1000percent and is having buyers remorse please let me know ( I know hung wrong place ) and do know it will live in my home forever.
Did anyone try for one

I managed to get a 1000% but I still have not recieved an email confirming the purchase so you never know if it was over sold and I will be informed that my purchase did not go through. As of now a payment has been made so we shall see.

i think i prefer not to have real time carts. for high traffic releases (like releases on POW and paper monster), messing around with people putting stuff in their cart and releasing it, causing the inventory to bounce around for hours, is not fun.

Having a real time cart is very important to prevent people from wasting their time, but I understand the POW/Paper Monster unlimited cart timer.
The solution should be a live inventory cart, WITH 10 mins to check out. If you take more than ten minutes to make the decision, then it drops out of your cart.

juggernut, I think POW and Paper Monster give you 20 mins to checkout. We adopted this principle but extended it to 45 mins.
I think once it's in your cart, you should be given time to complete the purchase.

Either way to hell with Kaws, I still have no shipping email for the 400,100 set however the good folks at TT were able to email me shipping on my 1000 so I really cant complain would have rather gotten it for 280 as opposed to 450 but life goes on.

juggernut, I think POW and Paper Monster give you 20 mins to checkout. We adopted this principle but extended it to 45 mins. I think once it's in your cart, you should be given time to complete the purchase. I see your point with more time. But IMHO, it really should not take you more than 15 mins to complete your transaction once your last item is in the cart. With POW and Paper Monster, many resellers play "hide the print" in their carts and drop it from one reseller to another...(thus abusing the long cart times) many people also sit the item in their carts to see how fast it sells out before judging if it's Flip Worthy... often the same item can last for 12-18 hours blinking in and out of "SOLD OUT" during the course of the day cause people keep dropping and picking up their items. So I guess a shorter time may force people to make decisions and not waffle on items when there are hundreds of people that missed said items and are just clicking refresh for a chance and sloppy seconds.

Yeah, it's a tough deal. Having gone through the lottery and first in cart approaches, I've learned you can't please them all.
