Here's a pic.. ![](http://arrestedmotion.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/02/3256762165_e40d5781c1_b.jpg) This piece recently sold for $6500 at Greg's Fifty24SF show in San Fran. Wonder why it's being sold so quickly.

Wonder why it's being sold so quickly. Joking, right? Sarcasm is, indeed, tough sometimes on the intraweb.

I wanted to add an image but I am not that computer savvy. Thank you for posting an image. I purchased this piece on the secondary market and not directly at the show, but also have a very large collection of work by Simkins. Some of these pieces are for sale at the gallery. If interested, please contact us. Thank you, Debi (Owner of L'Imagerie Gallery)

Just out of curiosity, can you let us know what pieces of Greg Simkins that you have in your collection? There are a few members on this board including myself that greatly enjoy Greg's works.
Also a helpful tip, since you are new to Artchival, it may be better to first share with us some of the art you collect with the members prior to offering a piece for sale. This way members can see that you care for the art and won't feel that you're shady or anything by just pimping pieces for the sake of pimping.

I am not shady and have been in the art business since the 1970's. I thought that I was posting in the correct place here in this section where the galleries are supposed to mention what they have for sale. I have a very large private collection but I also sell the artwork and this is how I make my living. I have been very active in this business and originally helped to promote a lot of the artists such as Robert Wiliiams, the father of the lowbrow art movement. An artist like Robert Williams influenced some of the younger artists that are well known today as well. Earlier today I posted some of the items in my personal collection in the appropriate section. What do you consider pimping pieces for the sake of pimping? I don't quite understand what you mean.

Thanks for replying and letting us know that you've been in the art business since the 1970's and that you've helped legendary figures such as Robert Williams. You are posting the right place for sale items. It may be nice to enjoy some of your insight in other sections of the board. (Now they can see some of the amazing paintings you own.)
In reference to your question "pimping for the sake of pimping", the statement refers to selling just to make money without much regard to the market, culture, or community. I assumed you have been a reputable dealer since a few people on this board have dealt with you before, which is why I suggested that you may want to first post a few comments in the discussion threads of this board to demonstrate to other members how you fit into this community prior to selling anything. (this way it fosters a culture of trust that could lead to increased sales.)
My unsolicited tip to you was actually to prevent this community to perceive your solicitations like the party guest who comes into a community and tries to sell time-shares. So hopefully we can benefit from/enjoy your insights on where the art market: has been, how it currently is, and it will be and benefit from your experience and perspective. Welcome again.
