One of my favorite murals they've ever done. The interplay between this and the Blu piece on the adjacent wall is awesome.

The Twins sponsored by Capitalism,... I don't see this as news.. doing commission for Will I Am is not much different in my opinion... actually, ever since price tags were put on their works, they are sponsored by capitalism, as much as anything else in the world.. but, I dont find this strange or sensational.. they are living in a capitalism run and owned world, and to have a career like theirs, without being part of it, is simply impossible I think...

The twins are scheduled to do a wall in Boston next week in a location that I kind of did not believe possible, Boston being what it is.

There is a litte difference, one is a musician and the other is one of the biggest global banks making a shitload of $$$ with food speculation at the expense of the poorest. Ther're many companies to choose for a sponsorship, you don't need a company which is directly responsable for the world hunger.

Had the honor of Seeing Gemeos show at ICA Boston and it was quite a treat for any serious Gemeos fan. This show was all about quality and not quantity (I believe fewer than 15 pieces), but oh what pieces they are! some of their most legendary works all in one place and in a 'white cube' context, which just proved how powerful these pieces are even when isolated from their original kaleidoscopic surroundings. They already feel like timeless masterpieces. Personal favorites are: 'The last Station of Spring' & the massive collaged 'Dentro do arco-iris, e assim' (Within the Rainbow) On a side note, the accompanying show book is one of the best Gemeos books/catalogues yet and is certainly the largest in size which really helps feature the details of Gemeos large paintings, the photos are top notch!. The only place you can get them from at the moment is from ICA store www.icastore.org/store/product/20321/Os-Gemeos-Catalogue/It is different than any book previously published about the twins in that it covers nearly the entire span of their career up until very recently...if I had to explain Os Gemeos to someone who has never heard of them I would give them this book above all others....also to my surprise and excitement the ICA gift shop was also selling what may be the first Os Gemeos official poster ever! and it is super fresh and super thick high quality framable. At first I thought it was quite pricey for a poster (only a few dollars cheaper than the book! @ $ 24.95) But I definitely don't regret buying...supposedly these are a small print run and sure to sell out...not to be missed, only available at physical location or ICA online store www.icastore.org/store/product/21576/Os-Gemeos-Exhibition-Poster/If you are on the east coast you should make the journey to Boston and check this one out (you have till friggin Novemebr!)...also make sure to check out the insanely massive and powerful street mural (still being finished but sure to be another classic) at Dewey Square/South Street station as well as the smaller but equally iconic gems piece on the side of the Revere hotel, minutes away from Giant mural....I definitely 'Exited Through The Gift Shop' on this one!...back home now and still buzzing from the experience... BTW I still haven't figured out how to post pics and the only decent ones of the show I found online so far are from the ever excellent: www.theworldsbestever.com/2012/08/01/a-look-through-os-gemeos-at-the-ica/

hello, thanks for the detail on the show - sadly it's a long way away from the uk. If any of your guys over there - can pick me up a 'poster' - please do. Far be it for me to say I'll buy your beer next time you're in london. I'll contact the ica and see what they can do .. for those remote folks like me.. and report back for all.

Thank you for those details, I would love one of those catalogues and the poster is one of my all time images from the twins. A signed copy of that would be pretty special indeed.

A quick update. Talked at length with Amy, the manager of the ICA store. They WILL ship the prints. They have quite a few, and when I pressed her, she indicated that if they need more, more will be printed. Amy said that they asked the brothers to sign things for sale, and they declined. There is nothing signed for sale at the exhibit. She did volunteer that the show catalogs were indeed quite special. Oversized and contained information on much more than just the show. She strongly recommended it for the price.
I web ordered both the print and catalog. Very excited to see them.

Can't order from the uk - via the website.. still awaiting a reply via email. The twins don't sign much from what little i know - and don't tend to even sign their canvas work. ..interesting eh ? ..

it is NOT a print but a poster. On really thick card stock and measure 2ftx2ft...but mainly it's a classic old school bboy image by Gemeos...if you are a fan it is definitely worth it imo.
