Very much looking forward to seeing this show! PM'd An amazing show!!!! Got a few posters available for anyone interested. I was able to meet up with the twins and get a few of the posters signed as well (signed posters no longer available). The twins were very gracious with their time taking photos and signing books and posters to anyone who asked. The works were on a grand scale with amazing details and use of materials. Enjoy a few of the pics I took from the show many more to come. |

thanks for that... the kelburn timelapse is quite something... worth checking out if you've not seen it. ..and it was not done in 2010.. afaik. |

it's an interesting development.
On several levels it moves then in several directions at once and raises many questions.
Not many of them asked here - which for this place is .. well ... not that interesting.
.. not even sure if the boring place over the road has picked up on it.
Os G.. well they can do what they want and will probably hold onto their fan / collector base whilst opening up the elite to something a little bit.. quirky but cool at the same time huh ?
I'd think that perhaps not all as it seems on this one - with i'd reckon something if anything raised by this venture going back to the culture from whence they came... perhaps a little generous of me - but they do care about their roots and have shown this by their generosity many times in the past.
These guys are not going down the road of koon , hirst et all .. just yet.
oh and .. you should have seen the faces of the folks i spoke to on my first visit ever to an LV 'installation' today... a picture...

this is sort of weird imo. LV is not really known for silk scarves, are they? sounds like maybe whoever got Retna his deal maybe nudged the twins in too...maybe like a favor type thing. don't really see yellow faces on bags flying off the shelves, LV or not, so hey, lets do some hideous silk scarf.

why is this even a critical topic here. os g. is two guys earning a living from their talent and their art. i say good for them! this is a respectable venture. the scarves look great. it's not my taste, not my thing, and not anything that i'll ever want, but they're not aiming at me. and thank god for that. i'd rather see an artist go in with a luxury label than say, toys r' us... or nickelodeon. yuck.. __________________ on a side note; one of my favorite print adds was a LV photo of gorbachev in a car driving along the berlin wall with a LV bag next to him. it's beautiful, well lit, somber. best part....the REMIO VTS tag on the wall...... right next to his head. love it. go Remio!! get up!! www.gomoneyways.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/08/28_05306_001_VUITTON_Core_value_Mikha_l_Gorbatchev.jpg |
