Anyone here of him or have any opinions? I was shown this by a fellow collector and am tempted to buy one. Kinda reminds me of LV child though...

I've only seen discussions about him on banksy.info (he's a member there actually). Seems really cool/down to earth. I thought his prices were a little pricey when I first "discovered" him over a year ago given that from what I knew he wasn't really established. I take it you've been here: renegagnonfineart.com/rg_store.html ? There's a "tagged up" version limited to three for $100 more.

Well, you have made me curious about rene gagnon and I checked out the other forums about him. Apart from banksy forum, there was a thread on his art in thegiant.org as well.
I am interested in checking out the "highly textured" finishing of his artworks. From what I can see from his website, the print is not the most impressive piece of his work, his messy, multi-coloured canvas work with arcylic and latex on his stencils look really impressive. At least from my laptop screen, they look impressive.
Has anyone checked out personally his contributions at Carmichael gallery?

Someone on thegiant bought his big piece from there (easycraig I think). I thought it looked amazing.

Rene has a new print out. Grafitti Soup Pretty simple but I like the OG he had in the Carmicheal gallery show better: Wish I have spare US$850 lying around

A big shout out to Rene Gagnon for a little bit of swap-shop. This is a really nice print and will be making the studio wall some time soon, if I can find a frame big enough. Cheers RG!!!
