Hit the Dface show tonight and was very pleasantly surprised. I've always like certain D pieces but after night I'm really liking how beautiful the work was. The wooden pieces that look border line bad online were incredible.
Tomorrow I stop by Perry Rubenstein to see the host of Faile boxes at the gallery. Can't wait!!!!

absolutely all over the box work.... feelin' good about my box pick up. Those two cubed pieces incredible. Hope to see them do more originals and less repetitive print work.

Yeah, the puzzle style piece really shows Faile's ability to constantly evolve, from pasters to prints to wood to boxes to prayer wheels to puzzles... One of the reasons I like them so much.

Those are some of the strongest Faile Boxes I've ever seen. Their work really shines on wood doesn't it? Wonder if the boxes will be their signature piece in the future.
Feeling the top cubed piece as well. Nice progression. Can't wait to see what they bring at the 2010 show.

curious as I have never seen the boxes in person, but are the images printed directly on the wood or on paper that is then adhered to the box?

I like the cube piece very much. Hope this is a sign of things to come. I wonder if you can rearrange the blocks, like those puzzle things.
Although I could do with less native indians. I don't know whether it's good or bad that I like that they are using older imagery on most of those boxes.

I did! I really can't stand Faile as a rule, but I absolutely love this, probably the precise graphic-ness of it and my constant love affair with all things american, plus maybe a slight nod to Jasper Johns? I'm now £240 more skint than I was already!! It really is an addiction isn't it!

Didn't love this image at the "Glimmering Shadows" Laz show. Also, promised myself that I wasn't going to pick up any Faile prints going forward... but after seeing the size of the print, to go along with that fantastic spin of our nation's flag, it grew on me like algae in a fish tank. I got lucky and was at my desk at the right moment. (which is usually not the case) The price was a steal compared to the "Vanity" & "My Confessions" prints released at the last paper monster release, which pushed 1k if I remember correctly. It's good to see the Patrick's take their fans & the economy into consideration with the low price point. (for Faile that is... not a poke at you Ken )

All you have to do is keep hitting refresh and the print becomes available.
