So, to qualify for the documentary label, does that mean everything in the film has to be true then?

Easy answer... Michael Moore. So, to qualify for the documentary label, does that mean everything in the film has to be true then?

And I thought it was just Joe Public that had been brainwashed by the Banksy marketing machine. It seems the establishment is following suit. Where will it all end?

Fuck the piece. It's garbage. I want to know who the contractors were that managed to pull that off in tact. I'm doing some renovations soon and need a good set of hands. It's amazing the skill that comes out in dismantling these street pieces.

I think you should hold off on hiring those contractors Lowpro as there was that little caveat in the auction - "There’s a fine line going up this work can be fixed."

These Sotheby's results from the day auction are absolutely insane. It makes me sick to my stomach knowing I passed on the color HW directly from PC, after negotiating them down to 25k GBP and still battling myself and being unable to commit..and that was the one that exhibited at Bristol Museum. I loved the piece a lot, but just couldn't pull the trigger. Today's was estimated at 12-18k, which was so deliberately light it was silly and only had the intended effect of building a frenzy around the piece. But the fact that is sold for 85k GBP is nuts. Fuck Exit Through the Gift Shop and the incessant Oscar buzz, which is trivial cause there's no way in hell he wins, as the impact on the market is annoyingly profound. Now I'll have to await the next global market collapse and the ensuing art market retraction again to be able to come close to affording something.

That estimate was such a tease, i'm sure there were a few people like me contemplating a cheeky bid, even though that was realistically out of my league. Did you get any of the other work from the Bristol show?

Lowpro: Sorry I was hoping you could shed some light on the context of your comments, I can see you mean Sotheby's auction results but I’m not sure on the specifics in regards to the pieces you are speaking of. thanks.

Some updates, as all of these new pieces are within 5 minutes of my house. Just drove by "Crayon Boy", it's still there, fans are posing in front it snapping off pics. "Charlie Burn" is now boarded up. The piece on the billboard on sunset blvd was taken down today. I watched as several guys did it. I'm putting on my ninja outfit as I type this, and i'm going hunting for Mr.B. All I need is to borrow some Chinese throwing stars from someone.

For reference, here's the Sunset Blvd billboard.. Pretty meh if you ask me. But with the location in mind, the fact his crew pulled this off is still impressive.
