It’s called The Cape of Good Hope. We are looking at cape town. The cape of good hope... the cape of storms. The news headlines that we drive past everyday. The words that go directly to the dark sad parts of our hearts and our learnt defense of trying to look away. Day after day we see these subliminal images of the world at large... fighting... stealing... raping, beating. ‘Look on, look on’ we think. Our home is safe; there is food on the table today. This is about the struggle of harsh reality that eats at our heels as we walk strong in the attempt to live a magical beautiful creative life filled with love and compassion. It’s a dark and pensive cry from the side of this city that you will not find in the tourist books.
