Ok, now it's just kind of funny... Sad, i put the blame squarely on Jonathan Levine. WTF? After one painting stolen they should have wisened up and hired some security or been more vigilant. What an embarrassement for that gallery. It sounds like it was stolen during opening hours. What a joke.

wow. you'd think that the gallery would've learned from the first incident. interesting that both were taken around the same time of the day.

wow. you'd think that the gallery would've learned from the first incident. interesting that both were taken around the same time of the day. not sure if you saw, but two other galleries in the same building were robbed on the same day as the day of the first robbery. I wonder if it's the same person taking a stroll again through all the galleries and picking and choosing what they like...

What an embarrassement for that gallery. It sounds like it was stolen during opening hours. What a joke. Perhaps they caught it on camera? I mean the local spy shop has pretty cheap cams that anyone can set up, right? After the 1st incident a couple weeks back, I sent the gallery a suggestion, trying to be helpful. They replied. Here's the thread.... Note: I tried to fix the formatting but messed it up instead... -----Original Message----- From: Jonathan LeVine [mailto:Jlevine@jonathanlevinegallery.com] Sent: Tuesday, March 04, 2008 1:52 PM To: ########### Subject: RE: FW: Theft of Lori Earley Drawing at Jonathan LeVine Gallery
We are all over it. We are looking at some devices like this at the moment. Thanks for the suggestion.

I wonder, how long will it take for galleries to wisen up and install a proper camera surveillance system inside their buildings? That solves the probelm very easily. They make enough money so its not as if they cant afford it.
