There are some great pieces being auctioned off. We'll have been tweeting some of our thoughts from the auction on our twitter during the auction process, specifically Faile, Murakami, Shepard Fairey, KAWS, Barry McGee, etc. Follow us at here.Catalogue with the lot numbers.

There were definitely some steals at this auction, especially that Os Gemeos box. WOW.

gotta agree with StephenW on this OS Gemeos piece! Definitely a steal even though it's pretty small...

I love Os but I wasn't so in love with this small box piece. I think it was probably a fair price.
I don't think this piece is a good indicator of the market.

I am unsure, but I am guessing that piece was part of an installation. From what I know, there work is large in both size and price tag. It doesn't seem like there really even is a market with the exception of Deitch. I really enjoy them though.

The box was not as small as everyone think it was. having seen it in person: its pretty deep and the sides (inside) are painted. It's actually quite a very nice piece. We were surprised to see it went for less than 6k, as that's what many thought it was worth. (even heard someone predict it would go for 15k) With regards to "no market except for Dietch". I think that may not be accurate. Their works usually sells out (outside of Dietch). The waiting list for their normal galleries are tremedously long. Last month, at the UK Saturday @ Phillips, the two Osgemeos boxes were estimated at 4-6k (GBP) and it ended at 18k (GBP) after buyers premium. www.phillipsdepury.com/auctions/lot-detail.aspx?sn=UK000109&search=&p=9&order=&lotnum=392In latin america, they are pretty much at the top echelon of the urban food chain.

I did not mean that there is no market, but rather that the only place I have seen a good amount of work available is Deitch. everything else seems to be a piece here or there at auction.
