Beautiful collection Josh.
That is one of the sweetest Mark Dean Vecas I've seen in a while. Love the Monroe and you know I only play the lottery to buy a Kuksi from you.
Thanks for sharing.

Thanks Gildoinc and Marcuss.
The Veca is from 2004 and is pretty huge, 74 x 50 inches. I think it is one of his best and Mark tends to agree. I also have a great drawing of his that I will try and post soon. I love the Monroe but it is not in the best location for viewing, I think Hung-Hei has the drawing for this piece. There will be new work from Kuksi in November for his next solo show at my gallery.
I don't have any pics on file of the work displayed at my house. Had some downtime today at the gallery and just put these images together that I had on file.
I will post more soon.
Thanks.

That Shawn Barber is so nice. Was floored when I saw it in person last time I was up there.
Good stuff. Thanks for sharing.

Love the Kuksi....not sure if I have seen many vertical, but I think it works well. the Keyes piece is one of my favorites. Ironically done for the NYC show too the Monroe is definitely one of the better ones I have seen. Good stuff Josh. when are we going to see round 2......

thanks all!
lowpro - yeah i love the barber. he has a big show here next april, both rooms.
rizza - most of kris' work is a bit more horizontal but i loved this one. had to keep the keyes NYC piece in NYC. i love monroes older work from this period but have been on the fence about some of his newer work, still interested in seeing where he takes it.
sleep - you have/had the drawing for this monroe, or am i mistaken? the aurel is probably my current favorite, also the most recent purchase. its from her burn outs series and is the largest one she has done. it was for Basel and someone placed it on hold the first day and luckily for me backed out on the last day. i was told she was retiring the series but now there is one at the group show at V1 gallery, not sure if its new or not.
park - thanks. i like to have work from all the artists i like rather than collecting heavily on a few artists. i dont think i have more than two paintings from one artist (plus drawings) but there are a few i would consider that with. right now i still have some names to cross off the list for my first piece, would prefer to focus on that as opposed to adding more works by artists i already have a piece from (unless its the right piece for me). would like to see what piece you have by aurel.
outer - thanks. you know i love your stuff too!

Love the Eric Beltz Joshua - nice!!! Is he with Heller here in LA I think? Need to get a piece from him, his work always stops me in my tracks.
Looking sharp sir. Now lets see some of those other works / things installed in the ol' homestead.
I have to get off my butt and post more shots from our collection too since that post with the Art Collectors blog was kind of just a tease with no close ups and not all featured...

Thanks Andrew!
Beltz shows with Acuna Hansen in LA, here in NYC he shows with Morgan Lehman. This piece was from his last show here at ML late last year, for Pulse NY Beltz won the Pulse Prize for his solo project which included wallpaper he designed. The work is extremely detailed, I would like to get more from him before it gets to be too expensive for me.
Looking forward to seeing more from your collection.

Thanks for the head's up - will reach out to those folks this week. He's one of those artists that could jive so well with all that focus on this lil' bubble of things, but somehow due to gallery alliances, is off the radar of most. Just great stuff. For those curious: www.ericbeltz.com/ On the homepage of his site, is a picture of the Pulse room he won the award for (that Josh mentions above).

I believe Merry Karnowsky will be showing Eric at her Berlin gallery. Maybe check with Merry as well but she would probably be working with Eric through Acuna Hansen even in Germany, Morgan Lehman here has to go through AH.
