Wanted to start a thread for Specter. He is a street artist originally from Canada who is currently working in Brooklyn. He is one of the original members of the KOPS Crew (If you are from Canada I am sure you are familiar), and does some pretty amazing work. Check out his website if you get a chance. specterart.com/While he doesnt regularly show in galleries (well a select few ), he has exhibited in the Royal Ontario Museum and has taken part in some incredible exhibitions like The City Renewal Project. One of my personal favorites is his sign project...

Hey all, We just released a series of one off prints (but they are really more like originals, there is only one of each) by street artist Specter. They are all original concepts of his projects he puts up on the street. If you are not familiar with Specter I urge you to check out his website. He updates it regularly and is one of the most thought provoking street artists out there. www.specterart.com"Specter's roots are firmly planted in graffiti. Growing up in Montreal, Quebec, he started writing over a decade ago and co-founded the infamous "Kops Crew" in 1998, which has grown to be one of Montreal's most legendary and publicized graffiti crews. His attachment to graffiti is still apparent in his work; abandoned buildings and forgotten environments continue to be a main source of inspiration. Although his artistic practice began in Montreal, Specter has worked and lived in many different cities, most recently residing in Toronto, Ontario and currently Brooklyn, New York. He has also introduced his practice to the fine art world with gallery representation in Toronto and Brooklyn as well as past exhibitions in institutions such as the Royal Ontario Museum." You can check out the work here ---> showandtellgallery.com/artist_profile.php?id=78
