I just called Fed Ex and they could track my package by address. Apparently three attempts have been made to deliver the package yet someone has been home 24 hours a day 7 days a week sense buying it waiting for the delivery and there has been no slip left or door bell rung. Someone someplace messed up and now I am trying to arrange for another drop off but was told they only attempt three times and then it's up to the recipient. I would just go to Maspeth to pick it up but I don’t have a car so now I’m finding myself begging for a 4th delivery attempt which in theory might not make it to me again sense it hasn’t the first three time through no fault of mine! Very frustrating indeed.

wow that blows... maybe rent a u-haul? bring more than one person cuz that figure is damn heavy, or maybe i'm just weak. you'll need one of those wheeled thingys too to lever it and move it.

wow, didn't think these were that big. What was the packaging like? no wonder they didn't ship overseas.

To anyone who has one, would it fit in a regular 4 door car in its full packaging? Might have found a friend who is up for driving by and picking it up after work, the only saving grace in all of this is that they are open till 9pm.

I would guess that it doesn't fit, but I'm not at home right now but unless it's a hatchback or you put it on the roof, it probably won't fit.

The packaging was basically a styrofoam molded to the shape of the figure and just normal cardboard box outside of the styrofoam. Maybe I can measure it when I get home...

Much obliged on the dimensions, I called Fed Ex again once I got home from work and convinced them to try a forth attempt on Friday, fingers crossed this time.

77cm tall? that can't be right. the figure itself is 4' which is 120cm. i think the box is at least 5'.

and with the packaging, it weighs over 100lbs, so you aren't weak sleepboy.

Haha, I got lazy and read what it said on the package. I guess the measurements are wrong? I don't know my cms.

Anyways, busted out the tape measure and this is what I got.

Annnnd yet again Fed Ex screwed me over. After everything that's already happened they did not come today and had no plans to do so even though I spoke with customer services and arranged for a 4th delivery attempt today. If I hadn’t called I would have been waiting for nothing and confined to my house again. I am beyond furious with them as there is no way they have made any attempt to deliver much less the three that they have claimed. I had to write them instead of using a phone because I was so upset I felt I would come off as a mad man speaking to who ever was on the other end, I demanded a full refund on delivery charges and immediate delivery today, two things I am sure won’t happen but I had to let them know this is not acceptable I they need to compensate me in some way.

I am absolutely furious with your service, it is unacceptable and I will not stand for it. I have been waiting for a package that should have been delivered over a week ago. I paid $400 dollars for delivery and it’s less than 30 minutes away from my location. I was told 3 attempts were made to deliver the package, I’m afraid this is simply not true as someone has been home sense making the initial purchase two weeks ago at all times. No slip was ever left, no phone call was ever made, nothing at all was done accept giving me the constant run around. I called and spoke with customer service and made arrangements for the package to be delivered today Friday January 22nd 2010 only to call back today and find out that the process has been bungled on your end and the package never made it
on the truck. Now I am being told Monday is the day. Unfortunately this simply will not due. I have missed work in order to be home and accept the package and have gone above and beyond trying t
to be understanding and accommodating but have been provided nothing in return. I accept nothing outside of getting the package today or a full refund of shipping money as you have not provided any service what so ever and have caused me much stress and frustration.
I wait to hear how you plan to remedy this situation.

The saga is over. They wrote back and told me there was nothing they could do to help me, I told them I was sorry they felt that way and immediately canceled the company account with them, we use them 5 days a week every week so the loses are there’s to have. Rented a car and picked it up about 20 min ago, thanks again to those who offered help and advice.

sounds like you had a massive pain in the ass with this. glad to hear you got it all fixed now though.
i must admit, if i ever buy a painting and the gallery wants to use fedex it makes me shudder. nothing is ever easy with them and they always try and charge me £30 to receive a package. great!
