Hmm my opinion on the matter is slightly different to that of Svenman, though it doesn't make me right since it is just an opinion. I think one could most certainly still get a good amount for the print regardless of the crease, the crease it's self is not on the actual art but rather the paper and while it is not the same thing other forms of collectibles out there don't lose monetary value entirely due to superficial damage, of course mint is always preferred but the rarer something is the fewer options there are out there effects the price. Basically it's worth what someone is willing to pay and there are definitely folks out there that would be willing to give money for this regardless of the crease. I beleive a Warhol sold the other day that had quite a bit of damage and wasn't signed but someone wanted it so.... Not disagreeing with Svenman as much as it's another point of view

"it's worth what someone is willing to pay" is a constant, universal truth...
and yeah, I must say that Im thinking more like jediak here.. I can't really believe that that crease can make this piece "worthless"...
anyone else got any opinions, suggestions!?..
thanks people!

yep, totally just opinion of mine... just thinking about the glossiness and the apparent difficulty of repair, and the value of what you lay out on this if the crease cannot be taken out. how much is it 'worth' to the next man? it is of course worth whatever someone is willing to pay. hence i put 'worthless' in inverted commas...
i hope you can find a way to get a fix or another opportunity to get a clean copy sal.

cheers man!.. after all the stuff said on different boards, think I'll pass.. Good decision Sal. We collectors should be responsible in all aspects of our purchase as we are "stewards" of art. Besides, having good quality (in terms of physical condition) artworks in our possession increases our credibility as a collector in the long run, plus preserves the re sale value of the works. Its part of best practice. CHeers!

Far from a holy grail, in my opinion. If you're a fan of KAWS' work, would you want this on your wall when considering the scope and strength of the rest of his body of work? He's done so many far superior and inventive things in his career. These pastel pieces never really went over well with collectors, nor have they held up well physically over the years. This has been passed around various consignment galleries for years now not no avail. I think whoever owns the piece just finally gave it a shot in an auction, perhaps after seeing the success of the first true piece of his to sell at auction, albeit a much more sought after Ad Disruption, in the last Phillips contemporary sale. I wouldn't value it much above $10K personally.

That was definitely the most interesting release I've ever experienced on kawsone. Tried to put them all in my cart. Mistake. Finally just was able to buy one. Too bad they didn't sell them together in one click.

Kaws is really maturing as an artist and finding his stride. This body of work is great. I'm guessing those small pieces are pushing $10,000?

At the moment, they aren't breaking up the set of 21. Price is north of 200K. Maybe they'll consider selling separate if the set doesn't sell, but supposedly on hold many times over already.

I remember seeing one small round piece like this @ his show in Paris, and even I never got into his paintings, that one got stuck in my head.. these ones are BIG step forward in that direction, and I really like em..
also, I wasn't really feeling his all black pieces, but with these other colors (loving the palette), Im really digging these..
