nice! although when prints are a bit pricey and originals are reasonable... i'd rather pay more and have that

Are originals reasonable anymore? I picked a couple up 8 years ago for a few hundred, but does anything go for less than 1k anymore?

with the prints being priced at that I'm guessing that the OGs would now go for close to 1k if not more. anyone have real answer? I'm just guessing

I got one that was 40x60 cm for a little less than 1k and it had some color... was pretty cool that I got to pick the piece up at his room at hotel des arts. although it took a few months for my commission. i might be getting another piece (but i'm still waiting on photos). if anyone is interested, you can shoot me a PM and i can get you in contact with the seller if i decide to pass.

Really nice example, and not to bad price wise. I guess there isn't too many examples to set their prices out here. There was a show last year in LA (can't remember where) and they told me none of the pieces sold for less than 1k, even the black and white ones. Either way, it's nice to have an original. Good luck with the possible other piece.

feel free to take pics of yours! (who did the ones you have?)
anyways... i have way too many prints right nowadays (so if i can afford/attain an OG, I'd rather just go for that)

they were both done by Chazz (at least thats what I was told when I bought them), but there was more than him in the group when these were done. Anyway, the black and white one is the same size as yours, and the other one unfortunately is property of another board member as of a few weeks ago (hope you don't mind me posting it). But I got them both in Amsterdam maybe 8 years ago, basically my first art purchases.

Nice interview here.Ok, two technique questions coming up. Firstly, what is the secret of drawing a perfect circle? C: It’s down to how much practice you put in and doing it loads of times. For this show, I used a couple of stencils to get the pencil lines circled in because I wanted them to match with the perspective of the buildings perfectly. But I still had to finish all the pencil lines with a broad tip marker pen by hand. When I draw on the street, I never use a stencil; everything is always done by hand. If you want to be able to draw a decent looking circle, you need to imagine it like a clock. If it looks a little bumpy at around 3 o’clock you have to correct it. Try and draw it as smoothly as possible and use the left edge of the tip of the marker as a guide.

A new mural in Amsterdam that I saw on Wooster. The London Police recently completed the wonderful mural above in the heart of the historic Jordaan district in Amsterdam. Despite getting written permission from the owner of the building, the City Council has threatened to remove it.

This new direction is a stunner and really opens the doors for these guys. The flatness of their original lads mixed with this new line art perspective is quite a sick combination that go so surprisingly well together. Really looking forward to seeing these progress into the bright colors they're known for. I walk by this piece every day and I never get tired of it but looks like we'll not be seeing this style to much in the future...

Sleepboy thanks for posting that. Really like their new direction. They must feel a bit more liberated these days Looking forward to seeing how they start incorporating color into these in future shows.

It's not a new piece but last week was the first time I've seen it in person. TLP go very large in Berlin.

^Speaking of Berlin, their good buddy NOMAD made an appearance last THU. And brought his usual entourage of Demi, Ashton, and Soleil Moon Frye + husband into the mix...

thanks for posting the pictures. TLP's attention to detail and the meticulousness that they put in is amazing. Still on the fence when it comes to the color but think I will have to see it in person when I'm back in NYC.
