I really like Cyclops by Luc Price. Several styles of painting are harmoniously blended to great effect. In large part helped by the color palette, which contributes a lot to that harmony.

Thanks Weezy......Luc Price is great. But I heard that he isnt going to do any more "heads" which is a shame as he does them so well! Got this yesterday. Guy Dennings box set with a OG on the box. Best £95 I have spent in ages!

Damien Hirst - recent spot print. Woodcut edition of 48 called Phenformin. Been after a spot painting for a while and the colours on this are great!

Nice Swoon. Are you going to the Dreweatts sale on Wednesday? They have a similar piece (but linocut I think). Went to have a look at the preview but the thing is huge.

Hi, not going (its a bit of a treck for me) but the Swoon did look fantastic (and huge). Its also the cover of the catalogue. I hope it goes to a good home. Was there anything else standing out? I would have liked to have seen the Futura 2000......it looked like it may have been amazing! Also missed out this very recent addition.....still havent hung it yet but its very beautiful!

Damn fine piece. There are only a handful of Faile images I really like and that's one of them. Works really well on the wood. Are you going to hang as is or within a Perspex box frame?
Some nice pieces in the auction tomorrow but the commission is crazy - over 26% with VAT. The Futura is nice as is the Blade piece. Seems to be a pick up in demand for the older Graf pieces. I suspect the greatest interest will be in the Nick Walker TMA canvas, the Parla and the Swoon but I might be wrong. There were some real bargains last time as the timing was not great. And this time it's day 1 of higher taxes so maybe worth keeping an eye on!

Gil, you're Blue Static looks remarkable. I'm still waiting to get to the framers with my static. Mind if I ask if you got it framed from Paulson? It looks like the way they framed their samples when they displayed it at the fair last year in NYC.

I didnt see the ones Paulson framed but the one I have is stunning! An another note, a friend came for dinner and fell in love with it. Does anyone know if there are still available? I have tried to contact Paulson a couple of times without any response.....thanks!

I think Paulson has sold through their allotted number. That doesn't mean they sold out. Just for now they're out. I think Park Life may have one and I think one more gallery at Armory week had one available. I'm assuming it's retail is probably 5.5-6.5k now... just guesstimating...
There's also a silver plate at the berkeley auction as Epic pointed out. It may go for 5k to who knows now.

I wholeheartedly agree with Origo on this one. Every time I go back and look at the image, I see something new. There is a lot going on in the image, but it doesn't feel at all cluttered. Simply outstanding.

THanks guys.....it quite big too. About 2 foot x 4 foot. Tom was a really interesting guy as well. He worked in the pits a long time (39 years) and exhibited in London a couple of times. He never wanted to be famous and actually tried to buy back paintings that he had previously sold. A little bit more info on him here www.screenonline.org.uk/film/id/1274808/index.html
