Love his sculptures... If you are in LA, make sure to stop by the Royal T Cafe where these are displayed. I highly recommend it. Lots of other art too.

just out of curiousity, how much where the sleepwalkers? ah, don't know originally how much. the cafe is actually in essence a showcase of owner's collection. nothing was really for sale.

he has FIVE of them?!?! *jealous* Royal/T is actually owned by Susan Hankock. Very nice lady who is relatively new to the art scene, but has started collecting on a pretty major level. She has some great Aya Takano pieces and some Murakami's as well. Like Sleepboy said, if you are in LA - stop by. I mean its no project:gallery, but she tries... ive got opening pics on the blog projectgalleryla.blogspot.com/2008/04/royalt.html.

That now explains why they're encased behind glass. Hands off the small fortune.

I just want a blue one and a yellow one. Well, and for them to cost 10x less at least of course.

This is all i have from Nara...just some toys. Wish I had picked up that one that came up recently with the sitting girl, don't remember it's name... Since we are on the subject, here is something that I really treasure although it's a production item. It's a Nara flipclock that has a different panel for every minute of the hour... Pretty dope. Group shot. Yah, so until I win the lotto this is all the Nara I will have.

yeah, you def don't want to get a broken one.. we will always ended up looking at the wound and couldn't enjoy the figure fully..
packaging was great, but it is slightly flawed.. sometimes it could have too much pressure against the left ear from the foam... shipping vibration and prolonged stay in the foam at an up-right position could potentially snap the ear off..

His largest sculpture to date apparently. At the Aomori museum.
