There are tons of great charities to support, and they're all looking for a hand at Christmas. I want to toss out one that one of the galleries here, Roq La Rue, supports personally and professionally with their fund raising print editions that've included images donated by Camille Rose Garcia and Mark Ryden. It's the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust. In short, they're watching after the future of elephants and rhinos. To learn more, check out - www.sheldrickwildlifetrust.org/ - and if you're so inclined, pitch in and give a Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, or a cheers to a safe and prosperous 2010.

Thanks Richard! The David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust is near and dear to my heart and man, they need the dough...but there are a few other charities I want to give shout outs to...such as Heifer International, where you can donate animals (such as cows, chickens) to needy communities and families. It's fun to tell people that you donated a pig to someone in their name. www.heifer.org"When a family has a cow, every morning there's a glass of rich milk for the children to drink before heading off to school. Classes are paid with the income from the sale of milk, and there's even enough to share with the neighbors. A good dairy cow can produce four gallons of milk a day - enough for a family to drink and share with neighbors. Milk protein transforms sick, malnourished children into healthy boys and girls. The sale of surplus milk earns money for school fees, medicine, clothing and home improvements. Better still, every gift multiplies, as the animal's first offspring is passed on to another family-then they also agree to pass on an animal, and so on. And because a healthy cow can produce a calf every year, every gift will be passed on and eventually help an entire community move from poverty to self reliance. Now that's a gift worth giving!"and of course Ana Bagayan's Lunch Bunch! lunchbunchco.blogspot.com/
