LOLZ. Just thought I'd stop by to drop this pic from Daily du Jour of Daniel Lahoda hobnobbing with L.A. City Attorney (and outspoken opponent of street art) Carmen Trutanich at the preview of Lahoda's groundbreaking Public Works project a couple of months ago. Breaking the law makes for strange bedfellows, eh? They say when you lie down with dogs, you get up with fleas.

Well, here's a picture of Tom Selleck with a glowing pendant, a butterfly, a waterfall, and a delicious gyro sandwich. Even this doesn't mean it was a good move by a moderator of this forum to publicly vouch for Lahoda and spin PR. A bit unseemly. Other forums had the right idea with the general Voldemort treatment.

He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named? Wow, you guys sure do like to give DANIEL LAHODA a lot of power. I'd say the only thing we have to fear is fear itself. I didn't ask to be made a moderator of this forum, and never took a sacred vow to check my opinions at the door. If someone decides to revoke my privilege to clean up broken threads and delete spam posts because I dare to say something unpopular once in a while, so be it.

When you speak, as a moderator, you both represent and reflect the forum you are on. If that's something you are not looking to do, that's on you. But, the concept of third-party moderator as 'representative of the site' is an emerging legal principal. For reference, see some of the goings on in Cornelius vs. Deluca. There is also at least one case that referenced the moderator/site relationship as 'apparent agency' because, "Defendants assign this status and give these individuals authority to moderate the forums and user discussions. These individuals were under the control of Defendants and assigned duties related to the administration of the web forums."
And the Voldemort reference was in reference to, not forum posters, but the 'forum' itself, as in the moderators/administrators(aka you). Best not to go there as the forum or a forum rep. It's the weeds, and no one really wants to be there.

If it's so unseemly and fraught with peril for one such as myself to be discussing such a vertiginous topic, why did you bring it up in the first place? It's already been discussed to death. Just let sleeping dogs lie.

Because you apparently locked the original topic it was being discussed in, you never really addressed anything in the original topic and rather just practiced 'pigeon PR', swooping in, crapping out some fluff, and taking off. You describe negative statements as 'propaganda', state that you 'vouch' for him, and then tell everyone else with differing opinion to 'take it elsewhere'. All as an official forum representative.
And because I don't represent the forum, am just a poster, and find it an interesting art topic. If you want sleeping dogs to lie, you shouldn't have started nor continued.

Agree with Mose here. What is up with this mod? You should say you were wrong and move on. IMO.

I understand why this is a hot topic, but this is obviously going off-topic. It was actually I who locked the other threads because I figured since I banned Lahoda, there was no point in discussing it anymore plus he wasn't able to defend himself if banned.
As for Commandax, I think she is entitled to her opinion just like any other mod or forum member. It doesn't mean I necessarily agree with her opinion or anyone else's but I don't have a problem with people expressing themselves. Just because someone won't change their mind or doesn't agree with you doesn't mean they don't deserve to be here. If you are unhappy enough with the situation and you can't stand it, then maybe you don't need to be here.
As for Lahoda, he's banned. If you guys notice anything new that the art community needs warning about, by all means start a thread about it.

I think that without a doubt Lahoda has sullied the scene that has so readily and blindly embraced him but actually Saber's statement reveals just how vapid and superficial the whole street art scene has become anyway. Lahoda is just an extreme example of the greed and opportunism that is rotting street art from the inside out. In that sense Lahoda is their perfect poster boy and the photo posted by Commandax is unfortunately entirely lacking in any irony whatsoever. Saber comes across as a bit of a crook turned informer, happy to have colluded with the whole thing whilst he was shifting his prints and equally happy throwing his bed fellow to the wolves when it suits him. It's all a bit unpleasant.
