I thought some of his answers on Deitch and Shepard Fairey were interesting and different. Glad you enjoyed it as well.

Interesting to read about a gallery that we perceive as doing well, but in the big picture (the entire art world), his gallery is perceived as getting no respect. But, we kinda already know that. I guess since we hang out with people that like the kind of art that we like, we don't feel like we are on the outskirts. But, yah, showing my collection to people randomly who aren't in the know, they say I'm collecting cartoons, etc...

I was only modestly offended when he said, "But I don’t sell to those middle-American people." I am in the dead middle of America in Minneapolis, MN, and I appreciate and own art from many of the artists he represents... Oh well, I guess I am used to the people living on the coasts thinking we are just fly over country. maybe he meant middle class? as in... the average american typically cannot afford to collect the artists he represents? (i'm just guessing, as I don't remember what the context). does anyone have the interview? the interview seems to have been taken down from the site and i'd like to read it again.
