So I purchased a used Mac Book Pro on ebay, i have contacted the seller, he informed me it was an openbox at bestbuy. Well it arrives today and I try to do a reset with the install disks however they are the incorrect disks. Is there any way possible to do a install or wipe the computer clean without the disks. I read a few things online but seems way to complex, Apple will do nothing to help either.

Upgrade from Leopard for just $29 at Apple and do a clean install. Its a bargain if you have an Intell processor macbook pro. I just bought one on eBay too, with tiger , it was password protected but I didn't get the passwords. Installing Snow Leopard upgrade allowed me to wipe it clean and make a new password. Hope this works for you... store.apple.com/us/product/MAC_OS_X_SNGL
