thanks everyone! i'm super excited about the piece and i feel really happy about it. i had a great time tonight meeting chris and kirsten and seeing all the art. it's something i'll truly never forget. i took some pictures tonight and tried to get them all sorted and organized for you. i put them in a photobucket album...wasn't sure what else to do with them. far too many to post here. anyways i hope you enjoy. s983.photobucket.com/albums/ae315/peetov/berens10/

Thanks for the pics peetov. United unfortunately put a damper on my evening, but I appreciate being able to see some photos of the show.

glad you guys are liking the pics. i'm thrilled to be able to give back to the boards. they have been so great to me. i took some more pics today.....i couldn't keep myself away from the gallery....and i'm going to update my album with them tomorrow probably. i tried to do some work with them tonight, but it's kind of a pain on the laptop so i'll have to wait until i can get back to my comfortable mouse and keyboard. i got some pretty good detail shots and i wanted to illustrate just how insane the detail is with some of the bigger pieces. i was really blown away that no matter how close i got the detail was perfect in some situations. he really has some insane talent and his use of blending both his kind of fuzzy/hazy technique with his insane detail can create such dramatic depth and layering it's really stunning. i'll try to get back with a writeup and examples of what i mean with more pics tomorrow night if my flight doesn't get in too late. i can leave with you this image i did get done though to give you an idea of some of the detail i wanted to display. my camera and "photoshop" skills are horrible but hopefully you get the idea: NOTE: this image is REALLY big so if your browser doesn't automatically show it full scale after you click the thumbnail and you'd like to see it huge....you should be able to click the image again (it will show a little magnifying glass when you mouse over the image) and have it blow up to its full size
