I just wanted to let everyone know that Chris Berens has a new show coming up at Roq la Rue, and to give you a little glimpse into this new series. It is much more nature oriented than his last show in New York. If you'd like to be on his waiting list please contact me at kirsten@roqlarue.com.

The second piece is my favorite Berens to date. So clean and simple, like a Fairy Tale. Stunning talent.

does your statement still stand virtu? Because that one sleepyboy just posted is probably my favorite ever. i decided last week to go to dragoncon instead of flying out to see this show and I know i'll be happy but still it hurts that I won't get to see these in person.

Here is another image from the upcoming show...I posted two additional works on his personal thread in New Contemporary. (Psst- I just updated this post as I had an older image here- here is the completed painting)

Looks like another massive output from Chris. The guy certainly is relentless and contributes a lot of work to every show. Really impressive stuff.
Are all the pieces in the show done at the same scale? 2x2 perhaps? Or is it just coincidence that the 6 or 7 pieces previewed thus far appear to be the same dimensions?

Put together a little preview for AM with even more new images. And because it took me hours to pry my own jaw up off the floor when I first saw the new work, I figure I'll relay them to you now so you can have some alone time with them. Check it out here. Here's a little taste..

Thanks lowpro for your Reply #9 on this thread !!
Why ? Well, it's because you introduced me to the greatest painting by CHRIS BERENS I have ever seen. That's why !!

I chose to go to dragoncon this year rather than flying out to seattle for this show, and while I don't regret that decision and got lots of great art, seeing these pics is REALLY making me wish I could have made both trips. I want a zoom function like on kris kuksi's website to see all the details in these images.
