For some reason, I thought the Parla work was pasted as well but it looks like he's painting it. That makes it even cooler.

The prior evening to the unveiling @ the Barclays, MOMA had a Panel Discussion with Jose, Alan Ket, GZA, and Adam Mansbach regarding the mark the Hip-Hop culture has made on all writers may it be literature, Graff, or Lyrical. A packed house of eager listeners heard each artist (in their owe field) explain the experiences with Hip-Hop and the works. After the panel Martha Cooper and Jose caught up and exchange gifts which i was delighted to document. Enjoy the photos; The Panel Martha Cooper's gift to Jose (Futura2000's Breaker Train Photograph) Jose Parla's gift to Martha Cooper (184th Street Print) Both Pieces Together Martha Cooper writing a little note to Jose

Does anyone know if there will be any prints for sale at this show? Thanks! Heard there will be, but not for a couple of months. Could be right, could be wrong, but that's what I had heard.

Thanks, mose.
Parla hasn't released too many prints, so they're really hard to come by unless you're willing to sell an organ.

True.
I can think of, what, 10 prints total?
Aleph - 13" x 18", edition of 300, 2002 Memory Documents - 16" x 23", 3 Color Letterpress, Edition of 25 from 2005 Pirate Alphabet 1 - 12" by 15", collograph and serigraphy, edition of 1, 2006 Pirate Alphabet 2 - 12" by 15", collograph and serigraphy, edition of 1, 2006 Pirate Alphabet 3 - 12" by 15", serigraphy, edition of 20(confirmed), 2006 Pirate Alphabet 4 - 15" by 12", serigraphy, 2006, edition of 6 One Eight Fourth Street, 54x29", giclee + silkscreen, edition of 100, 2009 St. Giles, 42x25, edition of 100, giclee + silkscreen, 2009 The World Touring Letter, 39x39", giclee + silkscreen, edition of 100, 2009 Reckoning with Time - 13x28", lithograph, 2010, edition of 100
Throw in some editioned photographs and, I seem to remember 2 cheap posters sold under 'Ease'. I mean, Walmart-type stuff, Amazon.com stuff, etc.

No great surprise about Haunch of Venison. They struggled to be taken seriously after being bought by Christies. At least Jose managed to have his show before the major gallery closed this time, having been left high and dry by Deitch.

There will be a print which will be hand finished. Image not chosen yet. I wonder about this, given that the gallery is basically going out of the business of selling primary.
