Going to start painting mine on the weekend, as I had to buy some new oils for it. Excited to see it finished! Would love GR to release a canvas print of this. Masakatsu rocks.

A pretty stunning piece from Art Basel. Are those nuclear reactors in the backgroud? More images from the Mizuma Gallery booth here.

While I was totally blown away by a ton of art at Basel, I must say that Sashie was the most exciting "new discovery". I had never been exposed to his work before...and when I saw it in person, I could not stop staring at it. Amazing stuff.

His work is really exciting. Few more days, and I will post my finished model kit. Did you ever finish the model? This piece was available by the way for $850. I'm gonna pass because I'm looking more for a globe and I'm not suppose to buy anything hehe. But still an interesting piece.

It took a while, the roof has 6 coats of different greens ha! It looks nicer and far more acceptable a few feet away. Those shots really accentuated some shaky fingers.

Another wonderful piece that again, not surprisingly so, was sold before I could get to it. And just for reference sake, here are images of his last three most recent paintings from the Armory in NYC. Diorama 2008 oil on canvas 194x162cm Scrap 2009 oil on canvas 45.5x38cm ...something a little different and a little awesome, and the only one of the three I had an opportunity at...just a little too big, unfortunately... National 2008 oil on canvas 112x167cm

Hey Walter,
Happen to have any price info on those three pieces? Diorama is phenomenal! Love the mood, the colors...the glistening city in the bg. Awesome!
