I did and the first thing I thought was Opera. Something fishy here, unless it's another case of a flat out ignorant millionaire liking Guns and Roses and not being familiar with the market and that there are plenty of works available at primary in that estimated range that go unsold. Just looking at some of those above studio shots, there are a bunch of old works from past exhibits that couldn't find a buyer and are just collecting dust.

I'm so floored by some of these. The technique is just ridiculous. I had previously thought he was collaging the comic strips. To see that he's hand painting all those elements too is nuts. Dude can flat out work the brush.

Dude can flat out work the brush. Same here. I thought his works are 3D-collages, so real. I still cannot believe those are flat paintings. I would love to see those in person.

new piece is dropping today @ Outsiders: Ron English | Star Skull (One) 76cm x 76cm Spray paint on Somerset Velvet 400gsm paper One of a series of 20 Signed by the artist £1500 There are twenty of Ron English’s ‘Star Skull’ variants, each one hand-sprayed with stencils at the Lazarides/Outsiders Execution Dock studio. All are very distinct individual pieces. We’ll be releasing the first of the series online at 16:00 BST (that's 8am on the west coast of the USA, 11am on the east coast and 5pm on continental Europe) Thursday August 25th 2011 at www.theoutsiders.net, and one-by-one over the remainder of 2011.
