So, I guess this means I'm a collector now. haha. After a long random turn of events, I am now the proud owner of two original sketches. One by Barry McGee (Signed Ray Virgil) and one by Clare Rojas (Signed P.H. for Peggy Honeywell). I wrote a long story about how these two very special sketches made there way to my hands. All I can say is the universe is a really small and amazing place. Here's the whole story: gonetomorrowsf.com/?p=682I want to take care of these two pieces so that they last forever, but I also want to display them. I'm planning on sparing no expense on the frame for this, but I need some advice or direction. Any one know a really quality framer in the SF bay area? I want museum/archival quality protection for this baby but I don't even know where to start!

Wow! Awesome story Pikey! Let me know if your marketing firm is ever hiring! For all my framing I use Framer's Workshop in Berkeley. My good friend Jeanette works there on Sundays, she'll do a great job helping you pick the perfect frame/matt combo, give them a shot!

Thanks everyone! This has been a really exciting process, I never really thought I'd be a collector. haha. Ken, I'll definitely stop by Framer's Workshop and ask for Jeanette since that is in my neck of the woods anyways. As far as framing goes, I was creatively stuck until someone emailed me in response to my blog and suggested I try to recreate the clustering effect with them, which seems like a genius idea to me. If I was really ambitious I'd try to recreate the bulging effect as well (see image below), but I'm not gonna go that far. I think I'll go with the simple, thin black frames, with no matting. I'm also going to print out a few pictures from the blog (Barry drawing, me and my boss, a few others) and maybe even go as far as to print a few of the checkered patterned images just to accompany the images. I want to create a little mini McGee cluster! What do you guys think? I'd love to hear some feed back or other ideas, I'm kinda just brainstorming out loud on this forum, hope you don't mind :-D
