Bought two of his paintings on impulse last night when I saw the images. Seems to be a Mark Ryden & Todd Schorr influence to his work... Pretty good prices still. A couple more His website.

I think it's a lot Mark Ryden, a lot Todd Schorr, a little bit Bob Dob, and a wee bit Mark Brown... But I like it.

a friend gave me a print of his last year - his stuff is pretty hit and miss with me but i agree. there is a lot of talent there and i'm looking forward to what develops with him.

actually to me, his images are totally different than schorr, the only thing that is remotely similar is that he clusters or jams a bunch of characters together. as for ryden, the colors seem different and the characters look different. i agree that there is a use of numbers and symbology that seems similar. maybe he paints some of the same things like trees, little girls, devil, eye but they look different and those are far from the only things in his paintings.
but i could be biased since i bought some paintings. since more than one person feels there is too much similarity i guess there must be some truth to it though. also, i'm not really a big schorr fan, and into ryden a little so maybe i haven't seen all their stuff.

Yah. I'm ok with it. His piece for Crazy 4 Cult was the first time I have seen him painting on wood. Looks tighter than on canvas. Still loving his stuff.

Wow! This guy's gotta tone it down a bit. I suppose he's got some potential. But damn are his paintings nauseatingly busy.

Personally I think it is much too derivative. Who wants to be (or buy) a "poor man's" anything? It definitely seems like he's rushing ahead of his skill level, some parts seem like he was going for an expressionistic look, but it falls a bit short and seems a little uncomfortable and clumsy.
I enjoy some of the interaction and expression of his characters though.
