I like this slow revealing of your collection, keeps my interest, I'm always wondering what will come next. I think you have more Simkins's than you can hang though, maybe it's time to share a couple  . |

Thanks highbrow, you have some really nice art, especially those Tins. The Greg Simkins snail painting called The Overachiever was the first painting of Gregs that I bought, about six years ago for $400. They had a show for Joe Ledbetter at Gallery 1988, one side of the gallery had Joe's paintings, the other side had some of Greg's paintings. Nobody was really looking at Greg's art, I told my friend Bob, that I really liked the Simkins paintings, even though I'd never heard of him, so I bought one. When Simkins starting becoming more popular, a few of his other paintings from this group of six, came up for sale, so I bought them. I thought it would be great to put this whole group back together, I have five of them, could never find the bottom right one. Whoah! Thanks for sharing your awesome collection!  |

I get to see it at least, everytime I go in my closet.
I have a Joe Ledbetter hand-painted surfboard, I've always
wanted to hang the two boards together, but it hasn't

Hey Russ, You need to add some pictures of your Simkins drawings collection. As you may have noticed, Bob (Kungfutoys) is a friend of mine. He comes over, so he's familar with my artwork, he has also helped me locate some of the pieces that I've bought for my collection. He has a nice collection himself. This is a hand-painted Joe Ledbetter snowboard. Attachments:

ok, so I kept opening the 1st page of this thread and thinking why are they 12 pages about those pieces!?!?... but I finally went through the entire thread and Im flat speechless... so many great names and great pieces there!!!.. Craola's surfboard being #1, I love the Sottos, Travis Louie stuff, Craola's donald duck like creature, and that Baseman/Ryden/Biskup drawing..

It came already framed from the Joshua Liner Gallery.

I bought this from Ana Bagayan's lunch bench charity auction, a great cause. It's a painting called The Gathering, 10 x 56, painted by all female artists - Miss Mindy, C J Metzger, Lesley Reppeteaux and a few others. Attachments:
