Im pretty sure this was discussed and explained already, but since I can't find it on the board, I was just wondering if someone could tell me why is it so bad to store the prints in the tube!?..
the thing is that Im not at home at the moment, and wont be for another month or so (Im at my gf's in Netherlands), so Im thinking of keeping my Banksy CYW print in the tube until I get home.. 1) framing is gonna cost me less there 2) its easier to carry it in the tube 3) we dont have the room to store it flat here in NL...
thanks for your help and all the inputs!

There's a current thread at EB that pretty much covers all the reasons people think it's a bad idea to store stuff in tubes. I wouldn't think storing it for a month will make a huge difference though other than making it a bit harder to flatten. forum.expressobeans.com/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=61758

if it's only a month.. i'd keep it in the tube to decrease the amount you've handled the print. also... pretty sure POW prints are on good paper and probably won't get wavy on you

I shudder to think of all the prints that have been left in tubes for years... I don't even open them to see if they are damaged... Guess I'm screwed.

Hi sleepboy I don't think you have to worry. I have a bunch of Obey prints from 2006-2007 in their original tubes, they look exactly the same, as when they went into the tubes. Maybe thin cheap prints that have been rolled tight, could have some problems. I have a friend who has been dealing with prints for ten years, he said that he's never had a problem with his prints, some have been rolled for four+ years.
