No way I could buy this one, im still in college with a few more years before I get my Phd in Art History. So all the art I buy, if any, is cheap. Ebay, is kind of like my way of window shopping.

I'm not surprised. Lori Earley is a beautiful woman. I think she's more striking than the subjects she chooses to paint. I think many of the guys here would agree. So do you honestly think Kris Lewis captured that in his painting? No way. If this portrait is supposed to be Lori Earley, he didn't quite capture her in a positive way. I'd say he was off the mark a bit. That's my euphemistic way of saying he failed. I mean her hair in the painting looks like a stylish Darth Vader- or Boba Fett- inspired helmet. Cool red racing stripe. The subject appears to be what Lori might look like after motherhood and at age 50. I wonder what his motivation behind the painting was. If he was trying to impress her, I think he should have given it to Lori for free, as a gift. Nevertheless, I'm sure she was flattered by the painting, the effort, I mean. With that said, I'm a huge Kris Lewis fan. I have the Rose Zephyr print, bought it the first day it became available. Specific favorites are "Red Carnation", "The Amber Woods", "Heart of Glass and Gold", etc. It would be awesome if Copro created prints of one of these... but probably not since Rose Zephyr (edition of 30) never sold out and it's been over a year since it was released.

The subject in "Rose Zephyr" is beautiful, reminds me of Maggie Gyllenhaal. I'm just wondering since nobody bought this piece if the other one will go back up. Seems like there was more interest.

The painting is very nice but Lori is so absolutely gorgeous that it does not do her justice.

Yeh when you look at them side by side like that, its like the painting has sad eyes whereas Lori has very confident eyes.

yeah- well i know that is a pretty early painting- that is a later pic of her- def his early starting out work - I can't deny that kid is a master -I had to go back to check out the latest on his myspace- i have him as my top friend and saw the newest when i logged on. If u have a chance check out the latest view for yourself.. It is nice to see all these artists evolve. It is also nice to view with a critical eye....even those early pieces are pivotal in the direction they take. I wouldnt mind owning it- shi+t..there are many artists i'd love to own right now!! but the COST holds me down!!!!!!! arrrrghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
