guys, Im pretty new in collecting game, so I wanna ask you for your opinion about this.. I recently purchased Craola's "Label Me" print from a boardie (one of my most wanted pieces), and after being super excited and happy at first, I noticed all these issues with the print - 2 corners have dents on them (lower right and upper left), and the back of the print has mounting tape marks on it on all 4 corners, plus a big mark on the top edge of it.. here are the photos: now, even I really want this print, I dont think I should settle for the one in this condition, especially cause I was never told there are any issues with it, plus, I paid quite more than retail price for it ... please let me know what you think, cause Im pretty disappointed with what I got for my money, and NONE of that is my fault.. also, I have zero experience with buying 2nd hand prints, so maybe this is just normal thing that I should get used to!?.. any suggestions, tips, ideas, info are more than welcome.. cheers!

That is totally out of order. Having bought and sold prints in 5 years, I´ve never settled with a damaged print unless I knew that it was damaged when purchasing it.
You should definetely return the print or get a good chunk of the price and settle with that if you wanna frame it anyway. Personally I would be pissed and demand my money back.
Sorry to see that you received this Sal...

yeah, some MINOR dings might be overlooked but that print has some major issues and I certainly wouldn't pay full price for it.

If it is a must have get some money back. If you can live without it for now get it all back. That is not a soft corner or anything, that is flat out damage and not cool.

Few things piss me off more than when complete condition is not disclosed . "you never asked" is no excuse and if you're selling at a premium then it should be in premium condition .
Any comments otherwise means you're one shady mo fo .

thanks for your contribution guys!.. it helps a lot..
now, I heard back from the seller and he sounds super pissed at his framer as he took the framed print to him, the guy got it off the frame, packed it, and the seller just shipped it without checking it.. he right away said he's gonna pay me back, and is shocked with the marks and everything..
I prefer not to name the guy, as hes a long time boardie, and sounds like he was really effed up by his framer... he knows about this thread, so if he feels like stepping out, that's fine, but I still dont think this was done on purpose...
now, I really like this print, and Im not planing to resell it any time soon, but by the sound of most of you, this is not worth the initial $150 any more (that was the retail price)?!..
thanks once again everyone!

That's a shame , I've had a similar problem with a past framer only I saw the damage just in time.

good on the seller for dealing with this for you sal. maybe you could get the print to a local restorer to see if it could be fixed though.... creases like this can be taken out by someone with the right skills.

ask around at a few galleries for recommendations...
tape marks are on the back right? if you are framing it you won't see them, but i hear ya that YOU know they are there!

They pretty much just cover the print with a towel and use a regular house iron on it. You will not see any of those flaws when framed. Interested in trading prints let me know and I'll take it off your hands.

well, believe it or not, HERE WE GO AGAIN... today I received another copy of "Label Me" by Craola, and just as I wanted to snap some photos to show it off on boards, I noticed this huge mark all over it: Im guessing the reason is that the print was loose in the tube (there was no paper/sponge on top of bottom of the tube), so as the print was moving inside of the tube, it was rubbing against the brown protection paper, which left huge mark on it and ruined it... the mark is all the way to the top, most visible around shoes, and that is where it ends in a pretty straight line (exactly where protection paper was ending)... I can't effin believe this!!... this damage is actually way worse than the first one, as its all over the actual image!?.. the worst is that this one was stored flat, and in great condition (I saw the images), but one bad packaging decision totally ruined it... Im so freaking bummed about this... any suggestion, tip, idea, word of comfort, is more than welcome... cheers!

Contact seller, get refund, reach out to Greg and Jenn, convey story, provide images, indicate your cursed, and demand and/or kindly request AP. Might work. Might not. Execute step one and two regardless.

maybe you could contact the gallery or who ever published the print or even Greg and tell them your situation. I've done that before with good results (not with simkins). Often they have on reserve a few prints stored away for some reason. good luck.
