Yes, what you say is true !!
In fact, the future movie " BIG EYES " is being produced as we type.
Here's the link explaining everything :
scriptshadow.blogspot.com/2010/04/big-eyes.html( reading this article confirms Walter couldn't paint a lick.....and made
his wife a slave to his self-promotion and taking credit for being the
genius behind the 'Bug-eyed Kids' paintings ).
This future movie is going to be pure genius.....and I predict VERY popular !!
The film is being written and directed by Scott Alexander and
Larry Karaszewski, with Tim Burton producing.
Confirmed actors include Kate Hudson - as Margaret the wife
and
Thomas Haden Church - as Walter Keane ( Mr. Fake ).
The film is considered ' in development '.
By the way, oldfartatplay, I'm giving you a big EXALT.........couldn't resist !
( you have a lot of insight and deserve to be rewarded ).
NOTE:
Turns out Walter Keane will not be considered a Lowbrow Artist
................he will be considered a Lowlife artist
( after the movie " BIG EYES " is released ).
* The verbal vomit I used to spit out toward Walter Keane when
I was in Senior High School has now been confirmed.
By the way, my Art teacher:__Elizabeth Stein hated Keane too !
( she also taught the famous painter Elizabeth Murray ).
artchival.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=contemporary&action=display&thread=4184Both Murray and myself were the teacher's pets. Murray was
4 years ahead of me and the very rich Ms. Stein created a special
scholarship that paid everything for Murray to attend the
Art Institute of Chicago School of Art. This fact was kept secret for
many years because Ms. Stein loved to help poor students from
a distance ( remaining anonymous ).
Sad to report:__both Murray and Ms. Stein have passed away.
( I miss both of them ).
Ms. Stein was sooo rich she didn't need a teacher's salary
( she had inherited over $300 million from her successful women's
garment manufacturer family ). So, she instructed our high school
to put her earnings in a 'art supply fund'. We always had the
best art supplies money could buy !!__She was a great Lady !!
We wrote letters and cards to each other for a 35 year period.
She lived on Lake Shore Drive_Chicago and I lived in the
Washington, D.C. area for a 38 year period.
She SAVED all 3,000 from me ( I had created drawings,
watercolors, etc. for each piece of mail ). Maybe someday I'll
produce a book with my good friend Melvin Theobald ( owns his
own graphics company back in Chicago ). Plus, he's a fantastic
fine art photographer___I started a thread with his name here
on this website ( within the 'Photography' board ) :
