Finally decided to post pics of my collection. I admit to being a bit intimidated in sharing my collection, seeing that I mostly have prints and my collection pales in comparison to most on the board.
I started this addiction in 2007 by coming across a couple of gigposters of Tara McPherson's for Depeche Mode and Duran Duran. From there, I stumbled upon Expressobeans where I was introduced to the urban art seen and the rest is history.
The last couple of years I have tried to transition from prints to originals but still have difficulty in turning down any dirty B'ASTS that come my way. Most of my pieces have come by way of secondary market purchases or trades, but I have been lucky in dealing with a couple of artists directly as well as some great members of various forums.
Not everything is up on the walls as I have no room. Still living at home with my parents and am severely limited to space, but the wife and eye are in the process of buying our first home. I have also gone to a more simplistic form of framing. As you can see in early acquisitions, I originally went for large over the top framing, but have recently gone to a standard white or black frame in order to let the art speak for itself.
I've tried to post them in chronological order to show the progression of where my collection has gone.
Please feel free to share any thoughts or comments.
