This is one of the coolest site installs I've ever seen someone create. Quite like his cardboard stencil works. But this is genius!

He's from Berlin and does amazing things. His "gallery art" is amazing, too: Here are some dozens pics more of the MS Dockville Installation: www.flickr.com/photos/evoldaily/

Simococo:
Wilde Gallery in Berlin. Emilie Trice is wonderful to deal with there. I'm a huge fan and a collector.
My only critique of his work is that the artist has such an amazing wit that's apparent in his early work, but his current work is so technical and serious.
He has a great website by the way. One of my favorite pieces is a plattenbau across from a shop with neon signage at night. He used phosphorescent paint so that as night fell, the iconic windows lit up as if people were at home. Very clever.

Hi guys Thought it's time I quit the lurking, when Evol is being discussed here. The pics above are from Wilde Gallery's booth at Preview Berlin 2010. While I think Evols pieces are well thought out and executed, the current price tag from Wilde is a little high IMO, what also shows in the number of works sold vs. what he's been showing for quite some time in various shows. Would be happy to possess an OG, though

His small or "simple" ones start at €7.000, the bigger ones go to around 15k. Wilde is selling two large prints (70 x 100 cm) for €350, which are really great, too.

Very cool work. Are those gallery pieces all stencil/ spray paint? Amazing this guy is not more well known internationally. Nicer work and more unique that a lot of stencil artists.

I have a link to it in Weezy's Collection as part of my post w/r/t my EVOL Plattenbau. What's so cool to me is how he incorporates existing tagging or the markings on the cardboard he stencils on. EVOL at POW: Dec 1 - 23This year's big winter show is headlined by EVOL the stencil artist who's been making a big name for himself by painting lots of tiny windows. EVOL turns random street furniture into exact replicas of the estate where he lives in East Berlin and promises some kind of epic installation at the POW showrooms. Features a full supporting cast of artists and opens December 1st.

since new Evol's show @ POW brought a lot of attention to his work, and a LOT of people seem to enjoy his creations, I thought I'd share the info about Wilde gallery in Germany ( www.wildegallery.de/artist_evol.html), still having some of his photo prints, and prints available.. one of them is Blockprint 02, it's a 2 color print on grey cardboard, 70x100cm, edition of 100, available for 350eur
