Aron's work is just gorgeous. I was lucky enough to get one a while back; he is definitely out of my price range now. Every single one I saw at Arcadia this year blew me away; such a sombre look attached to his body of work, charcoals and paintings alike. This is a beauty.

There is also an Andrew Hem... who keeps getting better with every new piece of work. Also, Matt Rota, who I recently discovered; brings to mind Rob Sato, a less-infatuated with the symmetrical chaos of decrepit buildings, highways, planes, and tree-like forms, as is Sato's work to me. Nonetheless, leaving their similar mediums aside, their work tends to overlap, but Rota brings out the ghoulish and/or gory factor to play more frequently. This: And, Caitlin Hackett... aren't her works on the life-size side? The ones here are pretty accommodating in length and width, not rock-climbing (wall) material. Another one whose work I admire... Excellent show.

Agreed, amazing piece by Aaron (amazing price, too...).
Also, I think the Wittfooth is the strongest piece of his recent series.

Also, I think the Wittfooth is the strongest piece of his recent series. I agree 100%. Shame he's making such huge canvases - the size and price are way out of my range

I love the fact that the water is not still as usual in his works.. and yeah, the composition of those 2 is quite similar...

It seems like everytime he comes up with a new painting it becomes my favorite. I am also excited to see the work of Josh Keyes in person since I couldn't make it to New York for his solo show.

That Hem struck me as a pretty special piece as well. There are some great artists and work done for this show.

Beautiful show Martin has gathered here, stunning work and yes, that Andrew Hem is very special. His work with colours and lightning is in a league of it´s own.

The Andrew Hem is jaw dropping, one of his best to date. (just gets better & better)
Charlie Immer's "Warrior" is spectacular as are the John Brophy, Jeremy Lipking, Brad Kunkle, Billy Norrby....
Major Jeremy Lipking piece, been a big admirer of his work for years.
Kill to see the Wittfooth in person.
This show is a box of eye candy, can't pick a favorite.

Did anyone else make it to this show last weekend? I had a great time, packed house and awesome art work. The Hem was my favorite. My date's favorite was the Brophy piece which was amazing as well. Who else saw the show and has opinions???
